  • Ketogenic diet

    Hi,

    let me indroduce myself.

    24 yrs old, male.
Very active. Boxing, BJJ, weights. 170 lbs, low bf %.

Ok I try to make this short:

Never really realized that being able to control WHEN you ejaculate is the norm. I always lasted like 2-5 mins dependping on form and pauses blowjobs mood etc...
Always being able to bring the girl to climax ORALLY.
So it didn' t really bother me.

I am very much into nutrition and I started the ketogenic diet - not for weight loss- but for overall health bla bla.

People didn't understand why I'd eat only specific things all of a sudden.

I saw it as an experinent.

    To wrap things up:
My sexual stamina went through the fu**ing roof.
I dont know jack shit about kegels, megels, arousal level or anything like that.

What I know for a fact is, that on a ketogenic diet I could fuck for as long and as hard as I wanted and being able to fire at will.

And by hard I mean max. intensity. Every thrust.

Only being able to ejaculate after forcing myself to do so.

To sum it up. I became a stud.

Been off of keto now for more than 2 months not being able to reproduce those results.

I am reading and only reading about this topic and the scientific mechanism behind this phenomenon.

I can' t sleep, work, study, train or focus on anything else that is not related to this topic.
I' ve read hundreds of articles, studies, forum posts. I want to know it all right now.

My theory at this point consists of several points:

    - Lowered inflammation. Smaller prostate gland

    - Change in neutotransmitters

    - Change in Hormones ( this one is tricky because studys contradict themselves. Some say keto lowers testosterone some say keto brings testosterone up. At the same time higher t is associated with premature ejaculation while lower t indicates a higher probability of delayed ejaculation.)

This being said. My erection quality did not suffer and my revocery time after round 1 was much shorter than on non - keto diet.

    ----------------
At this point in time I am on the Zone, paleo diet. Basically with a macronutrient- ratio of an Equal ammount of each fat, carbs, protein ( 33/33/33).

While at the same time eating paleo: meet, fish, eggs, bunch of veggies, limited ammount of berries, bananas, pineapple and a maximum of 200 grams different nuts daily. The only exception for no dairy being feta cheese daily.

Supplements for this week leading up to sex with my girl this evening:

    - Vitamin b complex especially b12 and b 6 at a very high dose.
    -Vitamin c 300 mg
    -Vitamim d 2000 iu
    - Vit k and e

    St johns wort
    5 htp.
    L- arginin
    Magnesium, iodine, zinc
Two strong green teas right before sex.
    Bromelain

I take this matter very serious but I was slughish with writing everything down while on keto. So confounders may have been there. Including some of the supps listed above.
I stopped watching porn years ago and rarely Masturbate (once every week max.)
Very limited ammount of alcohol ocasionally. No drugs. For now at least xD

I want and need to get to the bottom of this.

    Greetings from Germany

I'm on keto too, been on it for past 3 months. Makes no difference for me at all.
    BPEL: 7
    NBPEL: 6.3
    EG: 5.5
    Glans Girth: 4.5

Goals: To overcome premature ejaculation before engaging in any penis enlargement.

"Keto Clarity" book or Kindle version is an excellent resource.

Got links supporting this or is it just an assertion?

          What are you eating?

I am starting to believe that it was not keto itself but rather the food choices I made. Spinach, fish, eggs and such. Still trying to pin down what exactly might have affected my Pre E.

Also I now remember drinking a special kidney bladder tea during my diet.

I've been on keto for a little over a month, like you, not for weight loss purposes. I havent had sex but i've been working with relaxing my pelvic floor and will be having sex again here shortly and would love to see if keto is assisting me at all!

It's a bit thin but there seems the possibility of some link with pre amongst younger guys and de amongst older guys . Be interesting to see the further research.

I am starting to believe that secretely it might have been spinach. Was eating spinach and kale on a daily basis.
Read somewhere it contains a lot of nitrates. Those get converted to Nitric oxide which in turn can lead to better erection quality thus allowing you to keep ypur pc muscle relaxed thus avoiding involuntary kegels...

                    Just one of my theories

Ok so after sitting down trying to remember all the details... I realize that there were more confounders. Intense BJJ training being one. There were several exercises like planks, bridges and leg raises. Those I also stopped performing. Dont ask why.

It drives me nuts that my memory of any other factors is simply not there. It's like trying to remember a name of someone that you know for sure but you simply can't.

I remember on one instance I took some 5 htp before sex and that was definitely awesome. But does not seem to work with my current diet.
It must be a combination of different things that really cured my PE.
Will try several things and report back.

PS: from a nigerian website xD xD

I think you've got some pretty interesting theories. I especially think you have something with the lower inflammation, likely due to the elimination of grains (especially wheat) from your diet. What level of fat macro were you at?

I look forward to hearing if changing to Paleo (which is what MrKimberly & I eat - with the addition of cheese occasionally) gives you similar results to your stamina, as Keto did.

                          look what I found : https://www.pegym.com/forums/prematu...-fasting.html#

this guy had the same result from keto. Trying to text him but he seems to be inactive. I hope he replies.

My macros looked something like 70- 80 % Fat. Protein 20 - 30 %. But here is the deal. After getting keto adapted I started doing carb loads. after like 2 weeks I think. So basically after almost every intense workout I would eat whatever I want. Burgers, fries, pasta, cheese, Subway. This happened every other day because I alternated between heavy and light exercise. Heavy being weights, boxing, wrestling. Light was something like 20 mins bike on a low to medium intensity. That being said, not every carb load was a cheat meal though. It was 50 /50 so I assume that I had a max. of 2-3 meals containing grains each week.
So by doing this you can still stay in ketosis since everything you burn(anaerobic) then gets replenished by the carbs you eat.

In addition to all of that above, I was and still am on the warrior diet. which, in a nutshell, means that you consume most of your calories in a 2 -4 hour window. I sleep 8-9 sometimes 10 hours fast for 10, then eat for 4 hours. Google this if you are into longevity.

So yes bro I am Paleo since around christmas 90% of the time. Don't know if the issue might be worse on a regular diet. Probably yes. That being said: the only time I experienced full control was on the ketogenic diet.

Ok so since I work security and today was a really really slow day, I was able to spend some time researching and reading. ^^

                          First check this out:

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17367444 (can't find the whole thing again but they mentioned that 9/10 patients did not have bacteria in their urine, so I conclude that this condition might be severely underdiagnosed)

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/25256084 (this is a little more specific)

                          https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5001985/
Acute and chronic prostatitis, prostatodynia, or chronic pelvic pain syndrome (CPPS) is associated with ED, PE and painful ejaculation
Shamloul and el-Nashaar reported prostatic inflammation and chronic bacterial prostatitis in 64% and 52% of men with PE
                          Now get this:

                          https://paleoleap.com/infections-chronic-disorders/
"In general, a ketogenic diet is useful for treating bacterial and viral infections, because bacteria and viruses don’t have mitochondria, so a ketogenic diet starves them of their favorite fuel source, glucose."
Ok so I am not saying, nor do I know for sure that this means causation. but it definitely means that there is a correlattion. Ergo it COULD be caused by the bacteria in MORE than 50 % of the cases.

And again this is all just theory. Please, please don't take my word for it. DO your own research and provide input in this thread. Personal experience and/or scientific papers hold a lot of value for everyone on this forum.

But from my experience, I know for a fact that the ketogenic diet lowered inflammation (CRP) in my body. Yes I did before and after.

So after writing this I can truly say that I got a massive headache lol.
After all the information I read it seems like there is no conclusion.

So this is theory but what am I going to actually DO with this?

I made an appointment with my local urologist (20th MAY, wtf?)
My doc has really no clue. I know people who study medicine, they got no clue. All they learn is what medication to prescribe in which case. I can teach a 10 year old how to do this just using sympton key words and google.
But this is a different topic.

Will start bromelain again 2 tabs / daily to see if I can reduce inflammation. Drinking that special kidney bladder tea. adding planks, leg raises and bridges to my weight training. Strict stretching every other day. hindu squats I can go ass to grass for as long as I want. Pumpkin seeds, omega 3's and l-citrulline.
My gf visits me friday so I will strictly eat paleo and try the protocol above to see if there'll be any difference.

                          Btw.
I went to an Andrologist. really nice guy but he also got no clue. Prescribed me dapoxetin. This shit is expensive in Germany. 30 € for 3 pills. xD

have not tried this one since I want a permanent solution.

Ok so sorry for this being a little bit of a rant but I am fed up with the situation.
