  • Just capturing something that is working for me so that I have it here in the future if my PreE comes back.

    Doing a Hindi squat with my back on the floor and my butt slid all the way up against the surface of a wall is the most effective stretch for me to loosen my pelvic floor. After doing a few sets of that stretch over a couple minutes, my RKs are really effective.

    Also, the APT stretches and exercises are very helpful.

    Things are staying on track for me.

          Would it be okay if we left this thread here? If so, I will start a new thread in the success forum detailing my process and routine. I would include a link to this thread. I am wondering if more people with PreE will come across this inform if it stays in this forum. I can actively maintain both for as long as people show an interest.

          • +1 to leave this here if possible. I know its been a great use to a few people, myself included. WillGetBetters situation seems a lot like my own and his log/advice has been a great help!

            By way of a mini update - I seem to be 'getting better' at edging. My time to the PONR is slowly increasing, the PONR 'sensation' is decreasing, and I also hit a plateau earlier (it took 15 minutes to get there though!). Hopefully after a few months of extremely slow progress I hope I can kick on from here, fingers crossed.

            • Great to hear, The R! I'm glad you're sticking with it and seeing some progress. That first plateau is such a great feeling - you get a sense that you can develop some control. I don't think that fighting for 15 minutes to find it is out of the ordinary at the beginning. That is definitely how I felt. Now, with real sex, there are times I still have to fight for the first 5 minutes to settle in to a plateau. There's some start/stop, breathing, RKs, etc. - all the techniques.

              One mistake I made once I started having success with edging was that I stopped doing other parts of my routine. I only focused on edging and RKs. When I stopped stretching, I only realized that was a problem once I lost the ability to RK during real sex. My pelvic floor had tightened up again, which made it so I could not fully expand my pelvic floor during a RK. Then, everything fell apart. I'm getting a better understanding, through lots of failing, that all parts are interconnected and important (stretching, RKs, breathing, edging, ballooning, and maintaining a low level of arousal through controlling my thoughts). It's a lot to figure out and to learn how to do. That's why I think it takes a lot of time.

              • Wow what a good thread and congratulations for your progress thus far.

                Can someone suggest exercises or explain how to RK forward near the penis and NOT near the anus? I have had some success with RK as far as delayed orgasm but really it’s my whole core flexing. I can’t seem to isolate the forward RK muscles.

                  I wonder if your pelvic floor is too tight to allow for forward RKs. You could do a couple weeks of pelvic floor stretches, and then try again.

                  Also, might you have anterior pelvic tilt (APT)? When you lay down, fo you have an arch in your lower back? I have it, and I have to rotate my hips to flatten my lower back to then do a forward RK.

                        Another way to try forward reverse kegels is to get on your hands and knees, arch your back like a cat, and then try one. This position also helps to rotate your hips to counter act the APT issue.

                        If those things are helping, then I would do some pelvic floor stretches and some of the APT exercises.

                        • Had a bad edging session today. I was trying to see if I could shorten the beginning phase that requires me to go slow before reaching a plateau. I came out of the gate to fast and couldn’t recover. So, chalk it up to a learning experience.

                          • Dont worry, my last 2 edging session was bad too. But the next one will be better you will see.
                            I was going to fast so i came to the ponr and didnt get really down, next time (today) i have to go a bit slower..my goal is 20min trushing in different speeds without break..

                            • I've had a bad edging session today too. Not quite sure if anyone else has come across this but today I had a real bad pain in my penis whilst edging. I had this once before which came on after sex. Seems to be if I don't ejaculate for a few days mixed in with a day where I've done RKs for a longer period of time than normal?

                                I had that once. It felt a bit like “blue balls”. Even though it wasn’t my day to ejaculate, I tried to listen to what my body needed and went off schedule and came. It felt better the next day.
