So I measured yesterday (I'm writing this on the 26th), and I hit it! I reached my length goal of 7.2"! However, I very much hit it only just, this month was very close to having no gains. Given this, and the fact that my routine was largely 1-on-1-off this month due to poor consistency, it seems less like I 'didn't make gains', and more like 1-on-1-off cycle for my current routine is in fact an excellent, reliable maintenance routine. The months where I've made effectively no gains, but haven't lost gains either, have been the months which tended far more to a 1-on-1-off cycle. So this month, as I gun towards 8", I'll work to really maintain 2-on-1-off, as this seems to be the cycle which truly produces gains.
In the current workout routine I am doing (rice sock, stretching and jelqing), it seems it's not the intensity of the exercises, or the length of the workout which produces gains, but rather the consistency of the workouts themselves, and sticking to a 2-on-1-off cycle, which produces gains, whilst 1-on-1-off seems to be a nice, reliable maintenance routine. There's a possibility that, fro the vibe I get from doing PE these past 9 or so months, 3-on-1-off will max out speed of PE, but I'll stick with 2-on-1-off for now, and work on getting this really consistent. Once this is the case and I'm seeing gains again, it's possible I'll think of doing 3-on-1-off for a month and seeing how the rate of gains changes. 4-on-1-off would likely see gains begin to slow down I would expect, and isn't worth testing.
