So I'm a little frustrated because I encountered another setback. The pain from excessive massaging didn't go away so I will really need to take it easy today and probably tomorrow. Admittedly I was pretty extreme. I have to be proud of my consistency though. Today will be my 7th day sober, and I think if I'm smarter next week, I'll see some real healing. I'm about to graduate from college and I decided I don't want to be a drunk for the rest of my life. I guess a lot of guys go through a party phase but I'm done. Thankfully, my muscles are all very loose, so I just need this irritation to go away and I believe I'll feel 95% pain free.

Taking it easy today. Might do some light stretches but that's it. My pain is minor.

6 days sober now, it's really not too bad now that the motivation is in place (my comeback). Also, when I learned that it messed with your dopamine receptors I just realized it's really not worth it. I used to drink 2-3x a week but I would get completely wasted. I'd consume the equivalent of 20 beers lol. Not quite ideal for recovery.
Yeah in college I drank a lot. Actually at first, I didn't even want to drink. I was (and still am) really into working out so I just figured I'd go out and hang out but not drink. But I tried to push myself to drink so I could feel more a part of the social environment. I think by my senior year I did start drinking to get drunk though. But eventually I got away from it again and I don't drink at all now. For one thing I like not ever being hung over!

Just resting again today. Not even doing my walk. I need the muscles to relax 100%

Today is my 10th day alcohol free. I feel much better today because I skipped my walk yesterday. Maybe in a few more days I'll be able to really work on my recovery again. I just have to take it slower. Before this I was massaging the muscle all the time and I think that caused irritation.

Not feeling much different today. Just sticking with the program no matter what.

Feeling slightly better today. I'm taking ibuprofen to get the inflammation down. I did my normal physical therapy routine again.

I just realized in the past when I was pounding Advil, my pain was much better even weeks after. I'm gonna start taking it everyday, just not at super high doses, as I know this is dangerous. I did this at first out of desperation.

Again I'm feeling better. I think the ibuprofen is working. I'm about to do my recovery routine and take my supplements.

Feeling pretty good today. I am gonna have a few beers since they're here, but I doubt I'll buy more for awhile. I already did my PT routine.

I'm feeling roughly the same as yesterday. I'm still finding the right amount of massage volume to use. I skipped my collagen last night which wasn't wise. I talked about this on supplement on another thread. I don't know how it works with the pelvic floor muscles and connective tissues, but when I had joint pain this product completely healed it in a few weeks (It wasn't just the passage of time, as I had waited months previously with no improvements). It's possible it doesn't help my injury recovery here but I suspect it does.

Update: I'm also wondering if I will see gains with healthy testosterone levels.

My PT said I have about 2 months to go if I stay consistent. That's really not too bad. I'm about to do my PT routine.

I did my PT stretches and some light massaging. I woke up feeling a little pain but after stretching it's pretty much gone. I'm about to take my supplements and some ibuprofen. I should cut back on the ibuprofen soon though, I don't want to destroy my liver.
