Hey master-gauge, don't worry about it, progress sometimes happens like that, two steps forward one step back. I don't know a great deal about hanging, but instincts are usually right, if you had better results with the two sets, it's probably best to go with that!

Don't let it get you down, you have gained two inches in length from all your PE workouts, I'd be happy with half that!

Hanging is a complicated area. Some have advocated high weight, less time approaches. And others like high volume time to their routines. If you were making lots of gains with only 2 sets, then stick to that. Personally, 40 minutes of hanging would feel like a warm-up for me

I know what ya mean kick and Burty.. The same as a lot of guys need to be working out at the gym 7 days a week for hrs on end.. I'm not one of these types of people, I just to need to go the 3/4 days and that be it.. I look at the barbell, I start to grow and gain.. I learnt this in the 1st year of training as a powerlifter.. Right now I'm at 15 lbs for a 20 min set, I noticed also (this info is from the daily log I have on "my feelings" lol..)

That when I up weight, there's a "burns like f***** hell" feeling just in the skin only, at the top of the base.. This goes away after about 3 weeks or so of using the same weight.. But, those are the weeks I have made some positive growth.. Right now I'm creeping in 1/16ths of an inch.. I might try out 17 soon.. I would not be all the surprised I hit the 7" BPEL mark by the end of the month if I do this..

Well Tried the 17.5 lbs... Um yeah, I noticed that one big time, lol.. I have a red blood spot on the glans that doesn't look good, so I will finish the week off with 15 and I think I will make the executive decision to take all of the next week (week 62) off completely.. And start back up again in week 63.. This will only be my 3rd, week long break since I even started PE.. The last one was forced due to a nutty work sch. that last time in Oct.. But every time I have taken the week off, I come back stronger and have made some really good gains for some time after..

MG, I do not hang, but I think that if the spot you are talking about is a bruise then you should not continue this week, just stop, rest and relax, it will heal.

Also check PurpleOnes progress log, from what I recall, you better wrap farther away from the glans as your wrap will descend down to it with gravity, and make sure you deflate your glans before you wrap.

            Good luck!

Thanks Mr.B.. Wrapping is the single most hardest thing to master of the whole system for compression hanging.. After discussing it with Malehanger I went for a "doubled up" wrap and it works great.. It's turning out to be a great purchase..

Read this post the other day and was like, "I never felt that burning yet", then I moved my weight up to 10 lbs and boom started feeling it. It is a different feeling from fatigue, it is literally like a painless burning sensation. However, mine is on my shaft rather than my ligs. Hopefully it means gain-ville for me too

I'm going sound like I lost it again, haha.. But I'm going to make some changes.. I am taking the next week off, that's a given.. When I come back I will re-add the 3rd set... BUT.... I will drop the time on the 2nd and the 3rd sets to 15 mins a piece, and keep the 1st set as a full 20 mins..

My weights coming back will be as follows:

                  1st set-15 lbs......... 20 mins

                  2nd set-15 lbs........ 15 mins

                  3rd set-12.5 lbs (or 10 if needed)...... 15 mins

Reasoning: the time change keeps with the "less is best" routine I'm doing, but allowing some more time in the hanger.. This is all geared up to "trick" my body like with weight training, etc to try and start some new grow again... I want basically 3/4" dammit over this whole yr. to complete the length goals.. That magical 7"BPEL mark is just taunting me right now at only 1/8th" away.. The lil bugger lol... Things won't get interesting until I go back to work and that could be soon.. Time will be an issue then for sure.. Gain while I can.. I'd like to add too that all my gains in PE so far were under 15 lbs..

Well so far so good for the rest week.. EQ is at least a 9 and the darken skin on the tip of the glans has lighten up some.. Does the dark spots and little wrinkly parts of skin usual disappear on the tip of the glans once hanging is stopped indefinitely??

I'm using the newest version of the Malehanger.. It was a pain at first, but that was NOT the hangers fault.. I had to play around with the wraps, now it's adjusted properly and I found the right amount of wrap, it works awesome, easy to use.. I'll post how I made up the "custom" wrap on here once I get a pic.. I actually can't wait for the break week to end, and start up the hanging again..

Here are some pics of the gear I'm currently using:

                          7.JPG

The flat bar is cut 11" long, (it's 1"x1/8" stock) I come back 2" to make the bend for the "feet".. Taped the 2 of them back to back and drilled a big hole for the hook in the top.. It hangs flat and is easy to add or take weight off "on the fly".. It will handle 4X10 lb plates or so.. The tape on the Hanger is Athletic Tape.. 3 wraps around each of the jaws and I replace it once every month and a half... It has just enough stick to help with the Adhesive wrap and interacts well with it..

Well first week back from the mini vaca.. And it has gone very well.. Skin is irritated a bit from the hanger stretch, but it's a good kind of stretch, burns like hell.. I just measured on 90% EQ and it looks like I have some more creep finally!!! 6 7/8" BPEL "strong" (a 1/16th above the 1/8th).. I might very well hit the mini goal of 7" BPEL by the end of the next week or the end of Jan, which is what I predicted before I took the break.. My trick I played on my physical self with the time change might of worked!!

I also solved the problem of the red spots on the glans.. I just place a piece of athletic tape on the tip like a band aid and it supports the Glans skin enough from stretching under the pressure, not even one red spot when it's removed.. "Happy Camper" here!!

If I can gain 1/8th per month from here out I will have reached my length goal in the next 5 months.. Challenge accepted!!!

Well I dund it this week.. Stripped the tighten down bolt on the front of the Malehanger.. So with some very careful fitting and fussing (there is not a lot of material to mess with on the new hanger) I managed to fit a beefier 1/4X20X3" bolt in place of the 10/32nd's it comes with.. The 1/4 wing nut is much easier on the thumb to use and my old homemade hanger had the same size.. I know this won't strip.. I also had a 2 part epoxy here and filled in the space on the bottom of where the bolt "head" rest for extra support.. Works great now.. No shame for it I've been using for months now none stop.. Also, Still flirting with 7"BPEL Mark just not quite there yet.. I've stalled for the last 5 weeks.. It is soooon time..
