okay,so let see this in my point of view:
1-you paid 800 dollars for 2 things:birthday and christmas,for a gift.
2-she only paid 100 dollars for 1 thing for christmas and she expected you to do the same with a christmas's gift.
Alright,you paid in teory,2 things,both tickets of go and back,for birthday and christmas respectively.
So,in final conclusion man,you paid 7 more times for just 1 more gift.Is this for you fair?
Seriously,i dont believe you are dumb.But you need to be more carefull.Lets see if someday she will pay you 1000 dollars for something,800 for the gift and 200 plus for the waiting xD.

I got a question. Do other women find you attractive? Are you in decent shape, can you approach women comfortably, and can you hold down a conversation? Because you're gong to a vacation hot spot filled with bikini clad women of all ages... If you catch my drift. You're looking at having the time of your life! Bigger question is why is he still shelling out cash for this broad. Stop the flow of cash and see what happens imo. Turn her into a FWB.

It's the "friend" component of this relationship which appears to be the issue here.

On some level, the person with whom you share the most intimate parts of your life with should be a friend in the simplest terms of the word. If you're not on consistently friendly terms with your significant other there will be issues.

Don't do that,don't downgrade yourself with that.You think that just because you earn more money,you have to buy her things with more value?.
By the way,im not the right person to talk about downgrade.I also do it.I have lot of troubles.But i think you also keep your money to do investments in a future.

If i made her pay half of everything then there are things we would never do because she can't afford it. And i want to do these things, so I'm okay with paying.

The flights were her christmas and birthday gift. Fair enough because she bought me a $100 bottle of scotch for christmas.

She's still expecting me to pay for everything there, too, though. because I keep talking about my crypto investments and how I'm making money.

Good on you getting into the crypto craze right now. But bad on you for telling your girl your making cash hand over fist. Once you let a girl know you're making some dope money it becomes expected that you share this with her. Keep your money where it should be. YOUR bank account. There will be a day you're going to need it.

I don't mind, I've put her through a lot of shit these past few months because initially i lost a lot of money investing incorrectly (day trading), and she put up with it.
