Been married for 27 years and together for 35. It's been tough, sometimes more downs than ups, but we've toughed it out. She lies to me all the time, caught her lying about money many times, great to find out the house you thought you owned free and clear, isn't ! Twice! So then you think if she can Lie about that what else is she lied about??? Do I think she's cheated? Yes. Do I want to know?, BIG NO! I don't want to know why. I have enough confidence issues, size, staying time, ED..... You name it. I decided years ago, she's my wife, the one I stood with at the alter in front of God. AND! I realized despite everything, I'm in love with her
A prayer, is kinda the same as a "Like". If there are enough likes, God will take notice. So "Like" away please. My daughter needs your prayers. Thank You.

It's easy for people to give advice and judge when they have not been in the position. It's one thing when the one you love betrays you, but even worse when there are children involved. The foundation of your where your marriage started is really what will determine the outcome and the effort put in to fix the marriage and find out the whys of what lead to it. There are 3 people involved when making the choice to reconcile. The couple and God.

Been married for 25 years and it has been quite a ride. Twice there were long term sex problems on her side, I ended up in a sex drought for just over two years the first time and three years the second time.
There were more than a few very blatant offers from outside women and I remained faithful, so would I forgive adultery - NO! If I could keep it in my pants, she can keep her legs closed.

In my first marriage my wife cheated on me three times (that I know of) and I forgave her the first two. The third was a little difficult because she moved in with her "boyfriend" her favorite thing was telling her friends she had a husband and a boyfriend... Some women have major issues. My second marriage is at 9 years together for 12 and let me tell you. I would never subject myself to that ever again... People change... But trust doesn't... Once its gone it never comes back fully and even then... Never to the same degree.

If my wife cheated on me, I'd help her pack her shit. No, I wouldn't take her back......do it once and they'll do it again and I know what I have to offer......cheating is unacceptable.

Holy crap Party!!!! How did you endure for so many freakin' years??????? Maybe you are the exception to the rule, as you accept her for what she is and how she is. I'm so confused reading so many different feelings from so many different people about so many different situation. I'm quite familiar with variety, and I don't condemn anyone for their choices, but gosh darn. Just gosh darn.

If your wife cheated on you, will take her back?

My ex-wife cheated on me and I took her back. We spend a lot of time and money on counselling. Then she cheated again. We ended up divorced. I stayed in counselling. Here are some of the things I learned: (1) Someone who has cheated on you in the past has a much greater probability of cheating again. This is because he/she knows that the marriage didn't end the first time, so they could get away with it again. Also, people who are willing to cheat often do it again because cheating provides its own "high" from the new exciting sex to the danger of getting caught. (2) How important is faithfulness to you. My counselor had me write up a list of everything I wanted from a significant other. Then he had me rate them from 1 to 3; 1 being absolutes, 2 were important so I have to have at least 80% of them, and 3 was nice to have but could due without. If faithfulness is a 1 then you can never stay with someone who has cheated. (faithfulness is a 1 for me and I have made that very clear to my current wife. She cheats = I'm gone!)

My answer to the original question is I would Absolutely not take my wife back if she cheated on me. I love and respect myself too much to do so. Cheating is not an accident, it is not a mistake....it is a conscious choice to completely disregard the feelings of your spouse, the short and long term potential consequences of your actions, an a blatant disregard for the vow you took when you married your spouse.

                Just my two cents.

Fuck I hate this thread. I try not to read it but I come back again and again. Like picking a scab. Yes I took her back every time. Yes I probably would again. Cheating is so much more than just about sex. What if she promises to go to the grocery store and buy my favorite dinner, but orders take out pizza instead? Does this mean she has cheated me out of something? Yes. Does it mean I should divorce her? I Dont know. If she breaks her word to me over and over does that mean she is cheating on me? Yes, is that a reason to divorce her? I Dont know. Does anybody keep their word completely? I Dont know. When my wife has sexually cheated on me it has been horrible, but for me it is the thousand little things that we agree on and implement that she stops doing for no apparent reason that are harder to deal with. TPWs list of little things we do for each other are the things I am talking about. Why take them away after they are agreed upon and implemented? Cheating is so much more than sexual, and I hate this fucking thread. Sorry, but I had to. I tried not to but I had to. Yes I have taken her back, yes I have cheated her out of some things, but I try very hard not to. I am also trying very hard to make it until death do us part.

There is a high percentage of some cheating in almost all marriages. Would you want her to take you back if you cheated? How about if you cheated seven times? Would you still want her to forgive you and take you back?
Then, you should do the same.

Cheat on her after you take her back, and make sure that you get caught. Most likely she will bail, and that's when you begin to preach.. oh so you expect me to do something that you refuse to do? Go 'ucking figure!

I've never cheated, never will. And MAN, I'd like to, but I know I can't go thru with it. So I guess I have the stone in my hand but will never throw it.
