When you can only get your penis partialy erect, anytime is better than no time. To be honest I think people greatly distort time during sex. Like when you are in a car wreck and everything seems to slow way down. 4 mins is a long time in reality. People can run a mile that fast.
Unless you hit a stop watch as soon as you enter I think it would be hard to tell.

I know most mammals last seconds. Humans are from 2-7mins on avg. With the 5.4min mark being the dead middle.

In my own experience, the amount of time is irrelevant. My personal belief is "as long as it takes". I always orgasm at the same time as my wife (takes a bit of practice and timing, but we have it down perfectly). My wife has a refractory period, so it isn't enjoyable for her if I last longer than her (I understand that this isn't the case with all women - but then again, I'm not worried about other women). All jokes aside, I believe, it would depend on the circumstances, but under normal circumstances, 15 mins of sex (7-8 mins of penetration) is what women/most women think is ideal. And frankly, that's how long an average man is supposed to last unless you are on some pills, or have been in love been with Edging and Kegel routines for a few years.

Also, it only becomes a problem if the man has a serious case of ED, and worse yet, a combination of mild ED/ED, Pre E, and a long refractory period. Other than that, if you are both are having orgasm/orgasms somehow, it'll never be an issue. Going back to the starting, you can't choose, you can have the dick and the person both, or neither.
