But as a baby you grow up drinking milk (from the mother and cow milk) .. Why would they let you drink so much milk if it's bad for you at that early age?

Because when you are a toddler you have an army of bacteria to digest the milk effectively. As you get older milk becomes somewhat a hard to digest.

Cats also drink milk when they are small. Studies have shown that the adult cats that drink milk live few years shorter.

Plain milk is not a good option. But other diary products (made out of milk) are a great source of calcium.

But those dairy products contain milk. Why are they easier to digest? + Those products also contain lactose when made out of milk, no?

Because in those processed diary (yogurt, butter milk, cheese, etc) bacteria are added. And those bacteria help you digest lactose, kazeine and absorb calcium and other vitamins.

Threads like these make me sad. That the government combined with the medical industry has us all so brainwashed, that this would even be put into question.

Like Arkham said, how bad milk is for you is as much an argument as the endless coffee debate.

Milk is definitely harder to digest as you get older. I, like many, have seemed to become lactose intolerant over the years. My wife also has a hard time with regular milk, as well.

My son prefers goat's milk after trying various similar products.

I have switched to solely organic milk. The only time I have milk is a light night snack of high soluble fiber, again organic, cereal and just enough milk that the cereal soaks it up almost entirely. That is just to help purge the days intake from the bowels. It my case it is also to purge they veins and arteries of plaque and fatty deposits. History of heart issues in my family.

Some milk is good. But, once you reach adulthood, you should be drinking it a lot less. Find other sources for the
vitamins and minerals it supplies. Fruits, vegetables, non-dairy sources, and frankly for vitamin D, 20 minutes of sun on your skin is still the best source and produced naturally. You just have to do a little research.

Cow milk is meant for calves consumption , so they are better equipped to digest it while us mere humans cant. We lack enzymes to digest the protein and sugar (lactose), also as nutritious as it is, we cant absorb those nutrients properly for the aforementioned reason.

And here comes yogurt, the bacteria converts lactose to lactic acid, help in absorption and digestion of milk and other food too, make sure you pick a brand with live cultures.

Preferably make it at home, and if you wait on it for 24 hours or more, the bacteria will convert ALL lactose to lactic acid, so you get more benefits and no trouble if you're lactose intolerant. It will taste a bit more acidic/sour.

I haven't drank milk for many years. I can't remember the last time I drank milk. It seems unnatural, to me, for an adult to drink milk. Any kind of milk. I mean other than human beings, I don't know any other animal in the world that drinks milk as an adult. Call me crazy, but I take that as a sign.
