I'm not having any issues with inflammation; no joint pains or pain from previous injuries (I've had back, shoulder, knee and wrist injuries in the past). This past weekend I did notice a difference in recovery between sets (breathing and heart rate). On Saturday I was doing alternating sets of one-arm push ups and archer pull ups. These intense exercises drive up my heart rate and leave me a bit winded. But, I was surprised that I was recovering more quickly between sets. Even during HIIT cardio I've noticed that my heart rate and breathing are better between the high intensity sets.(Late 1999): 6" BPEL x 5.25" MSEG
(Early 2001): 7" BPEL x 5.75"MSEG (mostly Hanging/Jelqing)
Aug 16th 2015: 7.375" BPEL x 6" MSEG
Goal: I have retired from PE - So my goal is just maintaining.

I got my "Ketonix Sport", which is basically a ketone breathalyzer which accurately determines the current ketone levels in your blood, for Christmas. This device is much less costly (and far less annoying) than buying a meter, lances, and blood test strips to test blood. It works well. I've been testing myself several times per day. I've been at moderate/moderate most mornings and evening and High/low to high/moderate late morning and early afternoon. I'm feeling great. I haven't been worrying about loosing body fat since I started this experiment. I estimate I've been consuming between 3,000 and 4,000 calories per day. As of yesterday I've started to slowly reduce my overall calorie intake. My appetite is decreasing as I become fully keto adapted (which I've read can take up to 3 months) so consuming less is very easy. I have absolutely no cravings for junk food.
I took some time off from working out and have been working my way back into my routine. I did some negative dragon flags 2 days ago (I was doing sets of full dragon flags a few weeks ago), an my entire abdomen (from groin to lower chest) is extremely sore. DFs are some seriously great exercises.

Quick update: I have been in a state of Ketosis for several months. I feel great! My strength is up, my energy is high, I'm sleeping great, my mood is fantastic. I have done absolutely no carb refeeds. I check myself with the Ketonix twice per day (morning and evening) and have been in a ketogenic stated continuously.
Some interesting things to note; for most of my life I had a bit of that "white stuff" on the back of my tongue (which is actually caused bacteria and yeast in the upper digestive track) it is completely gone, also when I wake up in the morning I don't have the "film or residue" in my mouth/on my teeth. My mouth/teeth feel smooth like they are freshly brushed. I assume both of these changes are cause by the lack of carbohydrates which feed the bacterial/yeast in the mouth and in the digestive track.
Another Note: While this diet is working well for increasing strength and gaining muscle mass, is not a "silver bullet" diet for getting ripped. Shedding body fat still requires calorie restriction. I started eating more to gain strength and muscle mass (bulking) back in mid January, and I have gained body fat along with my muscle mass (I was seriously eating a ton of food, I estimate around 5000 calories per day). But, I don't gain fat nearly as quickly as I do when I'm eating a higher carbohydrate diet.Last edited by Sean Jacobs; 02-26-2015, 07:09 AM.(Late 1999): 6" BPEL x 5.25" MSEG

Years ago I had the honor of attending a Jack LaLane Q & A and Book signing.
A woman asked "What Should She Weigh"?
Mr. LaLane responded take your clothes off, stand in front of the mirror and ask yourself "What do you want to change"?
IMHO DIET is a 4 letter word that is always insinuates a meal plan to lose weight.
Diet is Eating Food and drinking Fluids.
Personally my food intake is pretty much like "Lee Labrada's Lunch Box" on Labrada's Website or YouTube.Last edited by akaTrex; 02-26-2015, 02:05 PM.“The world will not be destroyed by those who do evil, but by those who watch them without doing anything” Albert Einstein

Hey Sean. Man I hope you respond to this. Been a while since this thread was active.
I have been doing keto for about a month and a half. I did a lot of research and then started to watch Stephanie keto persons videos. If anybody has any "scientific evidence" it is her. Having coached over 3000 people and seeing how people react to certain foods makes me really follow her advice.
So kept it clean eating. All for a month. I did a carb refead for a couple days just to see what it would be like. Fuck that. It wasn't really that enjoyable. After a while, good whole foods begin to taste good. So I kind of fucked up my full adaptation for a bit but I am feeling ok though.
One thing that is a downer about this lifestyle is how do you monitor your sodium/electrolyte intake? Our cells do not hold on to water as well with poison, carbs, lol. One negative I kind of see this happening with for PE purposes is girth oriented workouts, namely pumping. When pumping, our penis draws blood and lymphatic fluid to increase the size of the tissues. Having reduced fluid retention, does this affect the penis' ability to hold that lymphatic fluid? I would have to investigate that.
Even though this is an old article and I doubt this message would get across to my target audience, calm your tit's with your masters and phds peoples.
I fucking hate it when people use the argument of authority to validate their claims. Mothafucka I can personally read studies, conduct self experiemnts, and OBSERVE! That's what science is and just because YOU have some degree gaining fallacious knowledge that the majority tends to believe, doesn't make it true.
Test observe test observe test observe. Say it with me. A lot "researchers" and "scientists" skew their findings to reach the outcome they so desire. For business and because they simply don't want to be told they are wrong. And there is even a research article on that! Lolololol! Go figure. The human ego can certainly do things that cause detriment rather than benefit.
But this will continue to happen with people regardless. Whatevs. Can't help the plebs. I don't completely disregard carbs but I feel better doing this than having a majority of my energy coming from carbs. I have completely changed my thinking about food. I enjoy eating the food that is optimal for my body and didn't even enjoy that refead.
And I was having the works, brownies, cookies, pizza, ice cream, fatass donuts. It was actually kind of gross. It's the dopamine rush of obtaining the junk food that is pleasurable but eating that crap was not as enjoyable as I thought it would be.
My factinions.
Please respond Sean. I want to hear about your progress. There aren't many people I know of that do keto and stick with it long term.

Fasho. I believe it is for everybody but I do like the concept of intermittent fasting.Originally posted by theGOAT View PostKetonic sucks.I prefer intermittent fasting
How are you doing with the diet and what kind of foods do you eat? What is your eating window and how many meals do you eat?
I've always wanted to try intermittent fasting for sheer convenience. But I believe the body runs optimally on keto. Thanks brotha.

I dont eat on windows, I just push my first meal 5-6 hours after I wake up.Lots of water + 1-2 coffees helps with the fasting. If I start to get really hungry I eat an apple or peach.
After that till I go to sleep I have around 2 big meals.Mainly meat or eggs with veggetables. In between some fruit or little dark chocolate.I love also diary products.I find them from local farmers so they arent filled with some shits. But the most important thing is the fasting window.

I also eat potatoes or rice.
I dont follow some strict diets.I try to not eat junk or fried foods.Like I said the most important thing is the fasting window. There are a lot of benefits which I experience. You can read on the internet. But one thing I noticed and others experience it also is more frequent morning erections.

Yo brotha I actually followed through with doing the intermittent fasting thing. And after doing my own research, a lot of stuff out there but I guess we have to choose something, I am not doing keto any longer. I saw that my testosterone dropped after a while of doing keto and that was enough for me to quit the diet. Brought carbs back in and felt so much fucking better.Originally posted by theGOAT View PostI also eat potatoes or rice.

Macros right now are averaging 50F 30C 20P. Still higher on the fat but good wholesome foods. Eating only once a day and no longer fucking hungry, it is truly amazing. No longer think about food. I work in a tutoring center and we get cookies and donuts almost everyday and I have absolutely no desire to eat it. I've read up about this and am glad there is truth to it.
Supposedly the ideal macros from the study I have read for optimal testosterone and hormonal health is 40F 40C 20P. And obviously, keep the crap to a minimum.
