So I noticed a post with someone asking some questions about getting with a prostitute in the red light district. I figured I would give my experience since it seems there aren't many of these posts. Sorry, half of the fun of a relationship is the "hunt", the anticipation, and the thrill of victory. If that sensation could be had by parting with my hard earned money then why bother. To me, seeking prostitution is a way of admitting to yourself that you are not worthy of winning someones affection. To be fair you give up hard earned money during that "hunt" for a relationship too. They both hold that gratification, but one usually takes far longer, unless the 1st date you can get that gratification with just a $50 dinner. Then technically the "hunt" turned out to be cheaper. On the other end the "hunt" takes far longer and is more expensive and you might end up with less gratification than compared to a prostitute.

Are we in the 21st century - Most of the women I know make their own money and don't need yours. While dating she spends money on you too. If your worried about spending money on a date then get creative about what you are doing together. The purpose of a date is to get to know each other to see if you are compatible, not to get laid. It certainly is. A very high stigma for those that do sexual work and those that buy it. Buying sex is quite some time in jail and many other complications.

I can see their point, some sex workers are forced into the life, and it could be abused, although I think if the whole "industry" had some laws to it to make it like any other job it could work in favor of the country.

It is not illegal everywhere in the US and in some areas in the US where it is illegal, they have started arresting the buyer instead of the seller and it has really cut down on the trade as sellers can deal with the exposure but buyers can't.

That's not true, you can see the same hooker again and again. Dating multiple women can also lead to what you described with hookers, the same diseases, tests, and no sex from diseases (or marriage).
