What's the manliest thing you've done lately?

I just replaced my bathtub drain in my apartment, after it corroded through and broke this afternoon. I had to go to two hardware stores and spend a little over $70 for the right tools and parts ($20 special brass drain remover) all for a 10 minute job. Now my bathtub has an awesome new push button stopper. And best of all my landlord told me to take what I spent out of next month the rent. I always feel manly after fixing things myself and doing the job well.

How about you guys, what have you done lately that makes you feel manly?

Last weekend was fun for me. Pulled the engine from my Jeep, and this weekend I drop in a LS1. Something about working on cars makes me so satisfied.

this is a hard one for me right now. i really am a manly man. i do a lot of things for myself. just on a hard stretch lately.

so the manliest thing i have done lately....hmm, is being a good sturdy father to my children. not caving into the "easy way" and letting them go wild. i am proud that i have taught them to ski this winter. that was a challenge to my patience.

After building my own house without any instructions or help, I was minding my own business shaving my chest with fire, when out of the corner of my eye I heard a meow. I look out of the bathroom window where I spied a poor cat stuck up a tree. Rushing downstairs to my trusty tool shed, I rip off the door, grab my almighty chainsaw and head to the tree. Sure, I could have phoned the fire brigade, but they would have pissed about with ladders and taken ages.

Just kidding, I did something similar to you. I uncoupled my u-bend on my kitchen sink to unblock a blockage. That and I went boxing earlier. Ooh, and yesterday I built my son a toy tank.

Tore my dishwasher apart, cleaned up all the built up gunk under the bottom screen, and put it all back together again. I also ordered a new cutting blade for the internal disposal as the other one had failed. Hence the poor performance of late. But that was just a Tuesday something for myself. Oh, wait I am a contractor, I do this stuff everyday.

I'll leave this thread to you guys unless you are interested in more from me as motivation for enhancements to your man card? I'm building this bad boy for a client on Friday.

you know. each of us are going to have a unique view of "manliness." what is normal everyday thing to one, may be way over the next guys threshold.

Uh Jesse, we're pulling man cards now? I better not mention costume from last Halloween, French maid. I was helping a student club at college with a bake sale and was in drag for the entire day, zero effs given. I have pics I may put in my private album but I want to censor my face out.

I do a lot of volunteer projects, including helping the girls outs with their cookie box creation contest and recently dressing as the school mascot to entertain 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders. I kinda messed up on that one because now they want me to do it for graduation and all next semester. It's even more restrictive in movement and hot than you think, but it was worth it to cheer up kids and make them want to go to college. And I got to hug the birthday girl!

Another manly thing, I'm considering entering into a talent show to play 2-3 minutes of speed metal. I haven't played in years and I'm terrified of crowds but eff it... I do what I want and am impervious of embarrassment. I'll see what I can afford... Need strings, an amp, cords, and pedals.

One more, the stupid school is forcing me to go to a stupid dance at the end of the month. I thought I escaped the nightmare of this crap graduating from high school. I am terrified of large crowds coupled with noise but I going to do it. Who knows? I might get laid out of it.

I had a tea party with my daughter, then I went out and castrated a grizzly bear....while it was still awake.

I bought tampons for a girl. Didn't even get a plastic bag to put them em, I just carried them like a loaf of bread. When I got a weird look from a guy, I looked him in the eyes and said "guess what I'm doing in 5-7 days," he gave me a nod of approval.

Not really, been sitting this joke for a while. But I have bought tampons and pads for ex girlfriends before with no shame.

Your going to kill yourself with that set up. A jeep is not made for the LS1 engine.

I'm still dealing with hurricane Mathew. Last weekend I enslaved the local kids to roll or how every else they could move a bunch of logs from a cut down tree. As they moved them in to position I was using a maul and wedge to start splitting my way through the pile. When finished I had some neighbors over for beer and fire that night.

Yes the local women all want my cock.

                              4 stumps actually.

Option one is to drill them and soak them in diesel. End result the stumps end up like a candle burning down down down.

Option two rent one of these. https://www.sunbeltrentals.com/equip...der-25hp-30hp/ Haven't priced it out yet but probably in the $300 range.

Option 3 Hire a guy at $75 a stump to grind them down.

Option 4 if I let them dry out for a while is go at it with a axe. These are 24-30 inch pine stumps. I know form experience these stumps take forever to rot and using an axe is not fun. they seem to not die all the way for years.
