And Cusp. Not sure what fun can be had from another political thread. So I guess the Topic eludes me. Probably why I don’t comment much on them.
A prayer, is kinda the same as a "Like". If there are enough likes, God will take notice. So "Like" away please. My daughter needs your prayers. Thank You.

Seems NASA satellite merasurements actually show a 3.3 mm rise per year.

              Back on topic:

              Beiden’s stance on key issues:

              • College Tuition: "Community college should be ... free,"
              • Health care: Favors expanding Obamacare with a public insurance option to compete alongside private insurance and available for everyone
              • Criminal justice: Released a plan to shift from incarceration to prevention. He supports "automatically Expunging records for marijuana convictions," "mandatory treatment, not jail, for those with drug addictions," and "automatic restoration of voting rights" after a sentence is served.
              • Minimum wage: In 2015, Biden called for a $12 federal minimum wage, gradually increasing to $15 by 2020.
              • Infrastructure: Suggested a general use of private and public funds to invest in federal infrastructure, saying the U.S. needs "a massive commitment to rebuild our infrastructure."
              • Climate change: Biden introduced a Plan in June, calling for net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.

                My Opinion
Climate change bill's are just taking money out of our pockets. An excuse to tax us which Democrats support. Raising minimum wage will increase the cost of living. People that don't have careers and/or didnt further their education expect to raise a family working a simple "job"(just over broke).

I like the criminal justice plan, but I need to do more research and get more information on that. It looks good on paper, but so did communism.

Community college shouldn't be free. It's an investment for your future. If it becomes free, then taxes will probably be raised to support it, and school isn't for everyone. People will take advantage that it's free and they will not put as much effort as if they were paying for it themselves.

The Democrats and Republicans are far more alike than anyone wants to pretend. The animosity between the parties is getting out of hand.

George W Bush waged war in Iraq and Afghanistan. Obama waged war in Iraq, Afghanistan and Syria and just renamed it to the "War on Isil". He also waged war in Libya, turning it into a terrorist haven.

Bush bailed out the banks and the auto companies. Obama bailed out the banks and auto companies again.

Bush raised the minimum wage. Obama campaigned on raising the minimum wage.

Bush spied on Americans (mostly international phone calls). Obama spied on Americans (their email, cell phone calls, and social media...we know thanks to Snowden).

Bush cut taxes. Obama, with a democratic congress made those tax cuts permanent. Half of Obama's stimulus was tax cuts.

Bush implemented a democratic plan to raise health care spending 500 billion (medicare part D). Obama implemented a republican plan to raise health care spending 900 billion (ACA/obamacare).

Bush did next to nothing on abortion. Obama did next to nothing on abortion. The abortion rate went down at nearly the same rate under both presidents. Bush's appointees are not going overturn abortion, and Obama's appointees aren't going to expand access to it.

Green house gas emissions has been on the same decline during Bush, Obama and Trump years. The Kyoto protocol under Clinton was voted down by EVERY democrat in the senate. The Paris accords were not presented to the Senate for ratification, mostly because it would reveal again that the democrats would probably vote with the republicans. Meanwhile US emissions have DECLINED MORE than many countries who stayed in those agreements:https://reason.com/2018/05/04/us-car...s-down-europea I'd rather have actual reductions than empty talk.

Democrats burned with hate toward Bush. They burn with hate toward Trump. They will burn with hate toward next repulbican. Republicans burned with hate toward Clinton (who cut the capital gains tax and balanced the budget) and Obama. We are all just feeling what the press wants us to feel. They make us feel that way with headlines. We're just their puppets.

Obama started to reduce unemployment and Trump continued to reduce unemployment. Obama started to improve the economy and Trump continued to improve it.

Someone brought up Joe Biden and let me give my opinion on that. When Joe announced he was running he became the favorite and why? Name recognition and he's a moderate. You see most people are not out there with Bernie or Lizzy nor with the Freedom caucus on the right. Most Americans, Dem or Repub are somewhere in the middle. The other moderates really had no name recognition so out they went.
Now Biden is a gaffe machine as we all know. Also Joe is simply not a bright man. That has been known in Washington for a long time. Hey he's a very nice guy but he's just not that smart. Nothing wrong with not being a genius; I know I'm not one.
As the debates become more heated the mistakes will be greater. The press will jump on those mistakes; I really think they don't want Joe. They seem to want someone farther left.

So Joe will never make it and it will go down as his third and last shot at the title.

As far as gaffs are concerned, our current President makes gaffs by Joe seem inconsequential. Recently, he was asked if he had intended to attend the Climate Change meeting at the G7 and he responded that the meeting was scheduled for later in the day even though the meeting had already ended.

He later advised that he missed the meeting because he had attended bilateral meetings with the leaders of India and Germany who, by the way, had attended the climate meeting.

In my opinion. pretty big gaffs or perhaps something more sinister.

I think people get too caught up in the different parties and instead should see if you person you are voting for is in your political spectrum
