Trust me no one si gonna get in trouble for whatever they say so if you have an opinion post.

    Next I just want you to know I'm not even picking on a party. I am just pointing out what I see in some of these candidates that I don't like. Trust me I'm not thrilled about Trump the man but I like what he's doing and I'm open to what you may see in these other candidates that may get me to think differently so chime in if you'd like.

    Todays candidate is good ole Beto. This will be short because the man has no chance. He's come out recently stating he will have a mandatory gun by back program by the government. Mandatory mean confiscation except you might get a few bucks back. You think that will fly with the majority of Americans? I don't. Do you think the gang member and drug dealers are going to give their guns back? I don't think so. Strike one Beto.

    Beto not only doesn't want a wall built but he wants all existing walls taken down. That's called no border. He believes anyone that wants to come here should be able to no questions asked. So I guess that includes Chinese, Russians and North Koreans if they want to. Okay strike 2 Beto.
    Oh the the last strike; having a stupid name which is only meant to deceive Hispanics into thinking he's one of them. He's Irish which should actually be strike 4!

    Anyone?
    I'm a dem. Are we actually going to talk about policy or are you just going me a commie?

        • Lets talk about climate change. According to Warren: The science is clear. The world’s leading experts have long known that climate change is caused by human beings, it is herre, and it is accelerating. We already see its effects — record floods, devastating wildfires, 100-year storms that happen every year — costing lives, causing hundreds of billions of dollars in damage, and disproportionately sacrificing our most vulnerable communities, including communities of color, children, and low-income communities. This is an emergency, and without rapid and widespread change, we will soon be unable to prevent the worst harms.The climate crisis will leave no one untouched. But it also represents a once-in-a-generation opportunity: to create millions of good American jobs in clean and renewable energy, infrastructure, and manufacturing; to unleash the best of American innovation and creativity; to rebuild our unions and create real progress and justice for workers; and to directly confront the racial and economic inequality embedded in our fossil fuel economy.The world must limit warming to below 1.5° C to avoid the most catastrophic outcomes, cutting carbon pollution roughly in half by 2030 and achieving net-zero emissions by 2050. As the world’s largest historical carbon politer, the United States has a special responsibility to lead the way.

              Gee we were supposed to haven an Ice Age in the 70"s? I guess their science wasn't settled. Now we should all be happy that the science is settled, we think.

              • The experts are The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) - The United Nations body for assessing the science related to climate change.

                Perhaps the science of climatology has changed since 1970.

                Warren is aware that India and China are significant polluters, but she has no way of gaining control over their policies. However, part of her policy is to try to get them to take action through negotiation (rejoin Paris Accord) and political/economic leverage.

                Supports California and 13 other states in a law suit challenging the Administration’s rule revoking a state’s right to set tougher auto emissions than the federal government. Now there’s a switch, the Dems supporting states’ rights.

                  Stocked for the last 8 years with people that only believe climate change is settled. 38 out of our 50 states have had their highest recorded temperature ever before 1944. Why is that? Most high temps should be over the last 10 years and they're not.

                  And those panels are never wrong; From the Wall Street Journal;

                  Models devised by the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change have, on average, predicted about twice as much warming as has been observed since global satellite temperature monitoring began 40 years ago.

                  Al Gore told me the polar ice caps would be gone by now. Wrong. James Hasen in 2006 said all the ice in Greenland would be melted in a few years and sea levels would rise 23 feet meaning I would be under water right now. I'm not.

                  They tell me hurricanes would be more numerous and deadlier. From the Journal again;
                  . Satellite data from 1970 onward shows no evidence of this in relation to global surface temperature.

                  You see the list of things they say would happen and didn't just keep mounting and they just move on to the next topic. Does man have an affect on the planet? Sure. Does it has to be changed within ten years or we'll all die? No that's bullshit.

                  I was told as far back as 1975 that we were all doomed.

                  8. Peter Gunter, a North Texas State University professor, wrote in 1970, “Demographers agree almost unanimously on the following grim timetable: by 1975 widespread famines will begin in India; these will spread by 1990 to include all of India, Pakistan, China and the Near East, Africa. By the year 2000, or conceivably sooner, South and Central America will exist under famine conditions….By the year 2000, thirty years from now, the entire world, with the exception of Western Europe, North America, and Australia, will be in famine.”

                  Another in a long line of things that never happened.
                  Like I sad most people that really believe in climate change almost as a religion never read even one book on the subject but it makes them feel good to be on that cause. I wonder how many have stooped driving cars. Highest temps are not reflective of average temps:

                    This figure shows how annual average temperatures in the contiguous 48 states have changed since 1901. Surface data come from land-based weather stations. Satellite measurements cover the lower troposphere, which is the lowest level of the Earth’s atmosphere. “UAH” and “RSS” represent two different methods of analyzing the original satellite measurements. This graph uses the 1901–2000 average as a baseline for depicting change. Choosing a different baseline period would not change the shape of the data over time.

                      That's irrelevant. We are a world super power. We can set an example. If we don't do anything about it, then would other countries?

                      My topic is is the form of capitalism we have in the west on its way out?

                        Dear lord man, are you really saying that because science can't see the exact future we shouldn't follow it? You have to be religious.

                        So because Bernie and others haven't become perfect that means what they say isn't real? So if someone had a campaign to end world hunger, its negated because they don't eat every last scrap on their plate? You call Bernie a commie in the sense that he's want total control (which should be fascist, not commie) but you bring up silly fallacies like these?

                        • We need to lead the world by example. Our young people are begging our
                          elected officials for leadership. Instead, they are burying their collective
                          heads in the sand. So sad!!!

                            Can you tell me what fallacies? You said that we should lead by example. Well what example do we set when leader do whatever they want and we're told to do the opposite? Leonardo DiCaprio flew alone on a private jet to Paris to pick up a climate change award. No carbon footprint there huh? Oh I get it the country should set an example and not really the leaders. Great idea! Can you explain how that works? Oh and China and India are gonna set their economies back because we're being so green and setting an example.

                              Dude a few rich people not flying private jets isn't going to reverse climate change. This is a systemic issue with our entire societal structure. Bernie is proposing a green new deal. Which would have us invest in better ways of travel, like high speed trains. What other countries have. Safer, faster, and green. Him flying on a jet doesn't change this fact. The fallacy is throwing out the baby with the bath water. New fuel alternatives need to be invested in and stop eating so much meat.

                              • We have invested in better ways to travel. We have high speed rail; we have electric cars. Our carbon emissions right now are as low as they were in 1980 with far more people living in or country making far more of a mess. We invest in solar, wind, geothermal; we re actually leading the world in innovation in this area.

                                But you didn't answer my question. Do you think China and India, just to name o f the big polluters out there are going to go along?
                                I have a brother who lived in a big city in the north of China. Do you know what that city does with it's trash? In the year 2019 they simply dump it into the ocean as the current takes it away from their shores to Japan and then to us. You think that once they see us being so good they'll do the same????
