I'm not sure what to make of this aneros at the moment. I've had a few goes now, and I'm getting mild orgasmic waves every couple of minutes, which are lovely, but it makes my anus awfully sore still and I don't think that's helping.

Most people find the Aneros to be pure bullshit. I'm one of those people. I see there's at least one shill on this thread, so I'll chime in.

Prostate massage, in and of itself, with no orgasmic intention, is a worthwhile endeavor. The point is to make sure that the gland is able to flush clean from time to time. It's generally referred to as prostate milking and is best done with a finger so you know what you're touching in there. It takes practice. I've had moments of prostate irritation that were immediately fixed with prostate massage. I mean like IMMEDIATELY. All I had to do was touch the gland and the pain went away. Gentle massage is all that's required. It's also helped me to have better erections. Go figure. There's a complex bundle of nerves in there that has an effect on everything in the neighborhood.

Aneros: aside from all the glorious testimonials on the Aneros forum, you'll also find an abundance of people like me who found the device to be a gimmick, not suited to my personal physiological array and which in no way stimulated my prostate. I know what prostate massage feels like. I found the device to be so obnoxious and troublesome after about half a dozen tries that I gave up on it. I would not recommend anyone waste their money...unless you enjoy laying around with an expensive buttplug in your ass waiting for the miracle orgasm. (Great Pumpkin is on the horizon isn't he?)

The Aneros is widely marketed on the Internet as a serious prostate massager. It is not that. It is a sex TOY. If you want to join the Aneros cult of big prostate orgasm and burn some incense and say Ohm, go for it. Personally I find all this talk to be foofy and unhelpful. Like, discover your inner vagina or something. Okay, seriously I've heard enough about the miracle of the prostate orgasm...probably said enough too.

Sounds like maybe it's a tantric thing going on - or rather the same mental process dressed up differently? Dunno.. I'm only looking for direct physical response really, so we'll see how that goes. I have had a pleasant, mild response there already. However I do note from working towards soft wave orgasm during edging that the combination of physical stimulation and the right mental focus can make all the difference. Also having the thing stuck up there was pretty uncomfortable at first which was pretty distracting. I think that's "improving".

I've tried the Aneros, no luck. I've tried sticking vibrators up there, still no luck. Now I've just bought another toy to try that's a bit longer than the Aneros, and the vibe end seems pretty punchy so I'm still hopeful. But in all fairness if this doesn't work I'm probably gonna have to give up.

I purchased a large prostrate massager that you insert. After numerous attempts at trying it different ways it now sits in my drawer probably never to see the light of day again. It did absolutely nothing for me.

ok, well, I just had a go, and found some kind of spot that feels like I'm about to pee ... couldn't help thinking about the G-spot effect in women there, but anyway, That was still a bit elusive, and pleasant enough, but to my surprise, when I looked down, I'd cum a fair bit but without any sense of orgasm or ejaculation, and not clear liquid either.
