Haven't seen one around, so I thought with all the talented writers here, we could start one up.

Original poetry, ones you like, inspirational, funny, serious...whatever. Anything poetry goes.

Keep in mind, original works take some guts to put out there, even on an anonymous forum. So kudos in advance to anyone who does.

Okay, guess I should go first. After all, I made the thread, right?

Mistakes

Do you ever put real words to thought,
letting it flow from pen to paper

or maybe you don't use a pen at all,
but instead a pencil with an eraser

or maybe you use your computer keyboard,
typing the words on screen

and if you happen to make a mistake,
you use the backspace key

me, I like to use a pen
and leave my errors in their glory

I'll scratch them out, and then correct them
but they're still part of the story

I'll see them there, and it reminds me,
to not do it again

but if I do, I'll scratch it out too,
and keep on moving the pen

so life is like a pen, I think
mistakes should not be hidden

fix them fast, but then move on,
to the next line that hasn't been written

Regret the deed,
bad thoughts proceed,
for past offence committed.

Convince oneself,
of strong mental strength,
and truth has been omitted!

Remorse sets in,
for evil sin,
a web of lies is knitted.

Repent your ways,
religion says
and guilt will be acquitted!

Let go of past,
be free at last!
Karma be permitted!

Undertones of Over Thought

the loneliest of hour,
in the darkest of night
it carries me away,
my minds futile plight

my deepest of thoughts,
and drawn out conjecture
that leads to nowhere
of any great measure

the mind often wanders,
makes assumptions and guesses
turns what was clear thought,
into nothing but messes

should I think that
or does it mean this,
going over things in my mind,
like there's something I missed

yet with these things I think,
I come to no conclusion
I ask, is it time well spent,
if I still have no solution

but one thing I do know,
and I hold to it true
these late conversations with myself,
well, it's been nice talking with you

We live and we feel both love and despair

How so many suffer, how life is unfair

While others have love and a wonderful life

My blessings are found in a Canadian wife

I see lonely people all over the place

With heartache and sorrow worn on their face

So Horny

In walked girl,
a beauty was she,
I want her I do,
I want her times 3!

Feeling a movement,
inside of my pants,
her hot little ass,
my heart starts to dance!

Approach her I do,
her body I crave,
a drink in my hand,
I need to be brave!

Before her I stand,
she flutters her lash,
my hearts in my mouth,
I know I must ask!

Your name my dear,
what is it my sweat,
join me this eve,
it would be a treat!

As it turns out,
she wants me too,
just not tonight,
because she has flu!

I take a step back,
her face looks a blank,
back to my home,
I go for a .....!

Luckily for me,
her number I got,
we'll meet up next week,
I still want her a lot!

My phone it has gone,
in a taxi it rode,
her number aswell,
my chances are blowed!

In future I've learnt,
it pays not to drink,
better have wits,
I need them I think!

Gave the dog a bath, and cut her nails,
washed some dishes, and went through my mail

I did some laundry, a basket or two,
and even some reading I've been meaning to do

I'd cut my grass, but it's raining like hell,
so I'm stuck inside and bored, can you tell

Not big on TV, but the tunes are still fine,
and I'm looking for somewhere to kill some time

The Gym would be nice, to spend some of the day
But all I keep getting is...502 Bad Gateway
