From my understanding of creatine, it allows your cells to hold more water, which aids in pumping out a few more reps in the gym. Thats why you add water weight when you start taking it. As far as benefits for PE go I have heard of some people noticing a slight size increase when they start taking it. However this size increase is probably due to nothing more than extra water in the cells of the penis.

Definitely, I noticed a big difference when I used it before moving to France. Helped with adding weight too which is important for contact sports.Originally posted by TheSperminator View PostAnd is it really "that" good?

Years ago creatine use to be so expensive, about 25 euros per 100 grams. These days however you can probably buy 500 grams for 10 Euro. I bought mine from a European supplement company called prozis.com.Originally posted by TheSperminator View PostHow much does it cost and how do you take it?
In the olden days bodybuilders used to do a loading phase for 5 days, on these loading days you'd take 5 grams x 5 times a day and you'd mix each 5 gram serving with around 20 grams of dexrose (or glucose) and the dextrose was supposed to get the creatine into your system quicker. After the 5 days of loading you'd then just take a maintenance dose of 5 grams of creatine a day.
These days however most people take creatine differently.
I think the bodybuilding aim of creatine is that it pushes more water into the muscles which in turn makes you stronger. Creatine increases ATP which helps give you extra energy so you don't fatigue as quickly during your bodybuilding sets and this should mean you should be able to do more reps during a set which over time should mean more muscle.
This is how i remember it and i'm sure somebody will correct me if i'm wrong.

I've heard that large intakes of creatine lead to gut rot. Is that true at all?"Know the rules well, so that you may properly break them" - The Dalai Lama

Creatine is one of the few supps out there that truly does provide a measurable and significant benefit for strength athletes. I think I recall reading up to 20% increase in strength and significant recovery benefits... without any known health risks. Here in the US, it is cheap and is packaged into just about every preworkout supp. Well worth the few bucks it costs.

Creatine Added on water weight to your body which will go away after say 2-3 weeks give or take. It isn't bad for you. and does not cause any shrinkage of your penis. Unless you get some off band some which has more then just Creatine. The best way to find out is to document your own gains and feelings of pain or discomfort when not using and see where it all goes when you do. Who knows it may help or may not do a thing. What I do know is it gives me an energy boost when I work out doing P90X. I see nothing wrong with it.Start : Sadly I didn't measure but I know for a fact I gained over the time.
Current : EL - 7.25 EG - 6 FL - 3.5 FG - 3
Goals : EL - 8 EG - 7 NBPEL – 9

Your going to read about negative side effects no matter what supplement you are going to take. Creatine is naturally found in fish but just not near the amounts you will take via a supplement. The only side effect I have ever had from Creatine is bloat due to the water retention that it causes, but don't think you are going to take it and drink less water to avoid this because that will be harmful, you need lots of water intake while taking Creatine, it does help you push out more reps after the loading period is complete and in turn you will be breaking down the muscles farther than you normally could with out it so it will help you grow.Originally posted by TheSperminator View PostSo nobody is sure about the negative side-affects of creatine?

I've heard that there are a bunch of additives to creatine supplements that make the whole thing garbage for your system. I try to use as little amounts of supplements as I can so I've just never done my own research.
I was talking to a guy who works at GNC and he was telling me about the different brands of protein and how all whey protein tubs are basically the same, all of them getting their whey from the same source. I pointed to one brand and asked why it was more expensive and he told me that they added creatine to the mix. He warned me that if I take creatine from other sources, that the high amount can cause gut rot.
I know that your body makes creatine naturally. The creatine itself wouldn't be the problem, except maybe the high quantities and any additional junk they throw in it.
In my mind, I group it in with soy products. There are a lot of arguments for and against it, some saying it's good for you, others saying it's bad for you. I personally choose not to have something in my body that I'm not 100% sure is good for me."Know the rules well, so that you may properly break them" - The Dalai Lama

Yea the Creatine itself isn't bad but a lot of companies add tons of other stuff into the mix which could lead to problems, best bet is to go with a well known source. As far as Soy protein I never recommend it to guys because it can raise estrogen levels, and I work at GNC as well!!!Originally posted by Toadstool View PostI've heard that there are a bunch of additives to creatine supplements that make the whole thing garbage for your system.
