No, I try to do it after. I have used it more than once in a day... I just don't have time to sit in the tub for twenty minutes anymore. If you do use it more than once be sure it is at least four hours after your last session and you can handle it.

Had my first short session with bathmate today just wanted to try it out and still do not know what to expect.
Do not know may be I have done few things wrong
I had my dick on the x4 lab on the noose for about 2 hours so my dick had taken a beating from the extender.
1 went in with 50% for three minutes did not get full erected however my dick came out much fatter for a short while
So released the pump waited another 5 minutes and went in again with little more pumping my dick felt uncomfortable so quit pumping and released the button.
As for the markings it is somehow difficult to see my dick in the bathtub because the tub us dark and the device is blue so I have to leave this to chance but I do not care so long as it makes what is intended to be for.

So How do you start as a newbie with this thing?

I sit on the sit of the bath while pumping, it's easier to gauge where I'm pumping to and I just find the position more comfortable and easier to pump in. Of course I also bought the clear model, so that helps. If you're getting uncomfortable it may be due to using too much pressure. While I may get in trouble for mentioning numbers in a Bathmate thread, I would try not pumping past 145mm at your current length. I find personally that pumping to .3" less than my BPEL provides a good pull while still not being too strenuous. I now pump to .3" more than my BPEL by the time I finish my routine, but I would work up to that over the course of at least a few months. Of course your results may vary so just experiment to see what feels like it's working but not push you too hard, and work your way up as you start to acclimate to using the pump.

It's also possible that your scrotum is getting sucked in, which is pretty uncomfortable. If when you pump you feel like your testicles don't have any space around them to move, this is likely occurring. To lessen than problem try going in fairly erect and consider tying your balls up with a hair tie. A cock ring might work as well, but they don't really conform to the shape of the skin, so I don't think they work as well.

Not familiar with the scale of pumping either I feel comfortable at 1 and 1/3 pumps no more than that
Like to learn more about the strength of the pump. How do I find info on that?
No do not feel any discomfort in the scrotum and the seals works well not letting air in

185 is the highest I've reached. For some reason I can never get completely erect in the Bathmate. It has given me a perpetual hickey from my glans to my base also, especially on both sides.
