Now that I think about it, a $20 lottery card wouldn't be too bad either, or two $10's, or four $5's, or twenty $1's.... who knew burrito's could do math?

Do you have a traditional meal you serve/eat for the holidays? If so, what is it, and when do you eat it?

Since we had a technical glitch, I'll give everyone a few extra hours (tomorrow late afternoon) to answer and be entered into today's giveaway!!
In my family they like to do turkey with beans and wine on xmas night with the whole family and some friends.

A prayer, is kinda the same as a "Like". If there are enough likes, God will take notice. So "Like" away please. My daughter needs your prayers. Thank You.

A book. Always a great gift, especially when it's closely connected to one of my interests. And you can buy good ebooks even below $10.

We always used to have my dad's chicken and dumplings on Christmas day. But since his heart attack a couple years ago and his passing a year ago, we've just kinda floated around my wife's side.

My family traditionally serves a three course Christmas eve dinner. Appetizers are usually a store bought cheese log, smoked cheddar and port, cream cheese stuffed jalapeno peppers wrapped in bacon (because we're from the south), a vegetable tray with ranch dipping sauce, and my grandfather's chewy caramel candy with walnuts he makes every year.

The main course is always spiral cut brown sugar ham and shrimp with cocktail sauce as a main course. The sides are usually corn with cream cheese, a scalloped potato dish, stuffing, green bean casserole, some sort of tossed salad, hot buttered rolls, sweet potatoes casserole, and a calico salad.

Desserts are usually a store bought pecan or pumpkin pie, maybe with a cheesecake, because no one in my family cares to make desserts except for myself. So I bring homemade pies and cheesecakes every year, usually cherry and blueberry pies and holiday flavored cheesecake (eggnog or peppermint) which the family loves.

We always eat at the same time every year, right after the church's candle light ceremony as soon as we get home... Usually about 5pm, although I never look at the time so it could be earlier but everyone leaves stuffed and with plenty of leftovers for the next few days.

Not going to lie, I don't actually want anything for Christmas. And I don't need any money right now. Yesterday I was able to give a needy mother $100 worth of diapers, baby clothes, and a $25 gift card for my college's angel tree program, but I regret not giving her more. I would rather take that $20 and donate $20 myself to give diapers or baby formula to someone in her circumstances than get something I may not even want in the first place.

A cup of coffee. Then sit down and have a good conversation, and put the rest in the nearest Red Bucket.

Whether a gift has no monetary value or is priceless, matters not to me. A gift given from the heart with love are the gifts I value most.

I love the presents that I wouldn't have thought to ever buy for myself, they usually end up being the most fun and surprising.
