After some trial and errors of wearing the PF I have found that the best way for me to wear the bell is to make sure that the head enters as far in as possible before wrapping over the sleeve and pumping.
Sometimes the head gets caught up by the friction of the plastic inside the bell and it still is some space left. If I start pumping while this happens it is almost guaranteed that I get blisters or very red and sore.
I think the reason is that the skin clinges to the plastic and the suction from vacuum/pumping forces the head towards the top inside of the bell making the skin tear against the plastic.
At least for me it works so much better if the head bottoms the bell before pumping. Then it is enough with only 1 or 2 pumps before all air is out, making much less suction/force than if I have to pump several times.
only my 2 cents
You may want to try putting just a VERY LIGHT dusting of powder... and I mean light on the upper portion of your glans. I never go in without protector, but I found that a very light dusting kept it from sticking when trying to come out and also go in better. I am thinking maybe this could help with glans going in and out. May be worth a test.
7 hours. Tried a small amount of powder, which made it easier to put the head completely inside without sticking to the bell Only downside was a light itching feeling, maybe because of the powder, but not sure yet..
