  • Glad to hear you're back on the horse! I've been struggling with my own skin problems over the past few months. It seemed like every time I got my daily hours total up to near my goal I'd get these red patchy lesions on the underside of my glans. They were different than the one blister I got in the past because they were more diffuse and weren't fluid filled, but it still seemed like a separation of the outer epidermis from the dermal layer underneath which would eventually become flaky and slough off. I've decided these lesions might be pressure ulcers from my glans being compressed against the wall of the bell and restricting circulation. I guess your sores are more like classic blisters, but if you're interested I wrote up a post about my recurrent skin problems on my review thread and the countervalent strategies for proper bell size to deal with blisters vs. pressure ulcers:

Here's hoping we can both break the cycle of repeated injuries!

      Thanks

Actually I read your post about pressure ulcers yesterday, and I am pretty sure that it is blisters, circular fluid filled bumps I have, and not pressure ulcers as you decribe. But anyhow thanks for your input, I will look out for similar symptoms and follow your advice of two hours before taking a break. It might be good for avoiding blisters as well..

Yeah, yours definitely sound like blisters. My sores are different. I've only ever gotten one actual blister from the phallosan. Hopefully your strategy of puncturing the protector cap will help!

          • 4 hours. No signs of blisters. Seems like the punctured cap was the solution

            • 5 hours. Maybe a slight bump where the usual blister uses to appear, but not much.

              • 5 hours. The spot where the blister appears was slightly red, but no pain or fluid.

Didnt pump at all today, just pushed the head inside as far as possible and squeezed the shaft to engorge the head while closing the valve/pump. This made almost all air disappear inside.

Didnt have to pump later as well, the suction was so strong that it was almost difficult to pull the head out when I was done. Absolutely no air inside the cap

This could mean that the more you pump and the stronger the vacuum gets, the bigger risk for blisters, at least in my case

                    • Only 3 hours two days ago. 6 hours in a row yesterday and absolutely no signs of blisters

Here is what I do now (as opposed to when I got blisters all the time)

                      1. (Put several holes with a needle in front of the protector cap so air can escape)
                      2. Put on the cap making sure no air is trapped inside, foreskin pulled back.
                      3. Put the head as far into the bell as possible while the pump/valve is open.
                      4. Close the pump and roll on the condom sleve just half way so the air gets sealed, making sure the head still is pushed into the bell as far as possible.
                      5. Pump a couple times to get most of the air out.
                      6. Adjust the condom sleve for wrinkles etc and roll it all the way down the shaft.
                      7. Then I turn open the pump/valve again and push/squeezes the shaft so the head gets engorged and pushes out most of the air.
                      8. Then I close the pump while still squeezing the shaft, and pull the bell slightly to check how much air is inside or if its any leaks.
                      9. If it seems/feels okay I might pump only one time and let it stay like that to avoid too much vacuum suction, if not I repeat step 7 and 8. Sometimes I dont have to pump at all. The engorged head pushes the air out.
                      10. If I did this correct I dont have to pump again at all for hours, and the head/cap gets almost difficult to pull out when finished.

This has made it a lot better for me, no blisters or edema, and I feel I can do pretty much anything without fear of losing suction while wearing it
