Great idea mate, but I wonder would there be an easy/quick way to do this as it would potentially be a hell of a lot of work. I know there are excel spreadsheets where you can get the averages of big group lists as such, I would offer to help Bnip but I am technologically-challenged haha

We already have the total gains; all we have to do is divide by the total number of participants.
63 people participated, so the average is
11/63 = 0.175in in length
2/63 = 0.032in in girth.
12.7% of people gave up on the challenge, so 63*(1-0.127) = 55 people continued throughout
So for the people that continued throughout, that's
11/55 = 0.2in in length
2/55 = 0.036in in girth
If I made any mistakes in my calculations, please tell me; I did it pretty fast lol

Another thing to consider; what about the people who started in the middle? They're probably included in these calculations but shouldn't be.
Also, to do it for each period we'd just add up the total gains per period and divided; I'd do it but I don't have the time. However bnip added up the gains in the first place would work.

You're right, it does actually seem like a lot of work, especially since gains for each period aren't all together somewhere; someone'd have to go through the entire thread. Because it's hard to separate gains from goals and there isn't a separate set format for each it'd be hard to write a script to do it too, so someone would have to do it by hand.

For those that gained at all, that's
63*0.524 = 33 people gained
So for those that did gain that's
11/33 = 0.333in in length
2/33 = 0.061in in girth
I'm a little confused by the given percentages, but this might be a better gauge than either of the previous averages.

You two are literally trying to kill me
. I had plans to do some big number crunching for the 2013 challenge. I came across a couple problems you two have already outlined. This is why I set up the 2014 challenge the way I did. Now because of both of your great suggestions, I am going to modify this one a bit. I had planned to turn these numbers into meaningful stats at the end of the year. However, it would be more beneficial to do them now. This thread is a massive undertaking and currently I am working on a HUGE thread. After I release the thread i will focus on how to improve and implement this in the future. Kickin and I are going to collaborate some ideas going forward. Thank you both

Also two more things possibly:
If the used devices/manual or both. This may be interesting to see what worked for people and what didn't.
If they took decon breaks/long rest breaks etc. I know you took 5 months out, and Jay1983 took a long time out too, and I am sure others have as well. So this would probably be important to factor in in the final analysis of gains and over what particular time-span.
However, I am not too sure how we can account or integrate these points into the study easily or effectively. Will have a bit more of a think about it. In relation to how much experience the users have had, perhaps divide it up into 1. Total newbie (less than 3 months experience), 2. Over 3 months but less than a year, 3. Over a year of experience (the vets).
I know on excel you can do up total averages and so forth, would be fantastic to be able to get the averages of the 3 month, 6 month, etc periods in girth and length gains. Might be worth thinking about. For ease of access on the excel, perhaps put the newbies at the top, mid users then, and the vets at the end, or something to that extent. That way, if you wanted to divide up those individual sections for analysis it would be easier/quicker to do.
Perhaps it can be something we can figure out and have the excel/work on the start of this thread, or another thread, or privately until we get it into working order, because both of us can edit threads
. These are all just ideas of course, I am just bouncing out thoughts at the moment. I would definitely be interested in helping out anyway I can.

I couldn't resist. I was going to wait till July 1 to measure but since I didn't measure for the 3 month check in I did today. I gained back anything I lost during the decon break and some. I gained .1x1! So I guess the hanging and pumping I am doing is working together. I have been very careful on the pumping part. Low pressure for 30-45 after my hanging session. I try to only pump 3-4 times a week. I will try this till July 1 and see where I am at.12-5-11 --- 7-4-14

When did you get off of your decon break? I am currently taking a week rest from PE because I've been doing PE for months without a week break or anything and it was advised by others to definitely take a break.

Thank you. I started back 3-17-14 and had taken a 5 month break. It was my longest break but I needed some time away. I did lose about .2 during that period in length but quickly gained that back. I had been very consistent with my hanging, pumping and sleeve. I had some complications with a hurt foot that made hanging difficult for a while.
