I'll look into all of that. I am not on any statins, whatever those may be.Originally posted by lobey View Postit is not the eggs....more likely you could use some more magnesium.....the gel form absorbed through the skin will prevent the potential diarrhea from oral mag
and a separate multi mineral is almost never a bad idea
coq-10 is also essential for heart health, especially if you are on statins(almost always a bad idea!)....
The whole egg. I have 6 almost everyday.Originally posted by DirtyNerd View PostAre u just eatting the egg whites or the whole egg.. ? and how many last year when i was in full swing of fitness i was downing 10 eggs a day but only boiled and eating the whites and chucking the middle away but damn the egg farts are another story high protein diets are not good for the rear

drinking that much water I would go back again to minerals.....especially magnesium....raw nuts and seeds are like little mineral supplements.....Originally posted by Dontrike View PostI drink plenty of water, that is for sure. I usually have a gallon of it a day, on average, and two gallons isn't out of the question some days. My caffeine intake is close to non existent, maybe only a glass or two of soda a week, if that.

Yeah, I could probably use something more stuff in me like that. Right now I am taking a multivitamin and zinc, but I guess it isn't enough.
If I didn't know better I would think that I was some sort of weird leopard that has purple spots. Other all of these bruises are a little annoying, not to mention the shoulder and knee pain. I was convinced to see the doctor, so tomorrow I will make an appointment to get looked at. Man I hate the doctor.Last edited by Dontrike; 07-20-2014, 10:38 PM.

Saw the doctor, nothing is incredibly wrong just some soft tissue damage that will heal over time. All I need to do is stretch every so often and not do anything to damage it further.
I was told that my heart rate is on the higher side of okay, so I guess it hasn't been my imagination.Last edited by Dontrike; 07-21-2014, 10:24 PM.

I hate being overweight and out of shape I have been my whole life. It isn't that noticeable when I wear my clothes it doesn't seem as if I'm large but when I take my clothes of I have some flab packs and some man boobs. I'm 5 foot 9 and I weigh 168 pounds. Even though I'm not large I don't like the way my body looks and I want all the flab to go.

heart rate is a good indicator of recovery.................take it in bed in the morning before you get up......if it is higher than normal It may be a good idea to take the day off from exercise and just rest.....................rest is as important as working outOriginally posted by Dontrike View PostSaw the doctor, nothing is incredibly wrong just some soft tissue damage that will heal over time. Edit: quick-replying 10 pages back was not that smart huh. anyways my good intentions are the same...
Hats off to you sir. I went through similar transformation some years ago. Wish i could go through it all again, success by success. But MAN - do things stagnate with time
You are doing everything right except refusing to adjust the weights.. (no rest time to spend between sets or what? are we training or making it comfortably here?).
Curling your deadlift weight is something IMO you will regret down the line. One thing is imbalances between strength and mass. But you miss out on lots of testosteron and potentiel mass/strenth/endurance, when your curl limits stuff like your deadlift and especially the squat (Men should kneel when mentionened).
Today i admit having a squatrack with barbells and fixed dumbbells (1-2 kg increments) all the way to 40kg's. But i adjustet them dumbbells like no tomorrow for a very long time. It even burns calories
I see now that you havent curled rescently, but my point is also valid when you mention easyness on the bench yesterday, but still proceed to an exercise (kneel) using more and stronger muscles - supposed to take a greater load.Last edited by mr6incher; 07-24-2014, 04:13 PM. Everything is recovering smoothly, I have been advised to get a follow up, which I might do, to make sure my shoulder and knee are healing correctly. While I still cannot lift heavy things and my shoulder still has some limited movement I will try and walk around a little bit when I am supposed to exercise to make sure I am getting at least some sort of workout.

I decided to do some small bit of exercising to start getting back into things, but had to keep it really light to test the waters and not to injure my shoulder any further. There was some slight discomfort and doing the farmer's walk with dumbbells instead of the barbell was definitely uncomfortable. Best I decrease the weight of the barbell next time.
