It is interesting the physical causes of hf seem to generally be stuff like got a hard on in jeans or must have rolled on it in my sleep . Anxiety /depression seems to be always present and the mental part of hf is the most difficult to deal with.

I haven't posted on here in a couple of years because I got sick of the constant bullshit with people speculating about torn ligaments or permanent injury.

        Hard flaccid is 100% a stress/tension response.

Towards the end of 2017 I actually got rid of it for a couple of months because I simply stopped thinking about it and other things in my life improved. However I became stressed, anxious and started obsessing about it again and hard flaccid has been back for around 7 months now. I've also developed severe bruxism (jaw tension) and it's effecting my facial structure.

I've got no idea how to calm my nervous system down and relax. Somtimes I think it's somthing outside of my power and I need medication but surprise surprise! Anti depressants/anti anxiety meds cause erectile dysfunction. Isn't life awesome.

Even emotional stress unrelated to sexual performance can contribute to issues.

Have you attempted meditation or engaged in activities specifically for stress reduction?

I've tried it all, ive done trauma release exercise, yoga, different types of meditation.

I honestly feel like I have OCD. I have no control of my thoughts or my response to the thoughts.

Establishing mental discipline is one of the most difficult things to do. For some, they have to hit a proverbial "rock bottom" before they decide on some level to choose to release their fears.

Dude I've had hf for nearly 10 years. There really is no more rock bottom left lol I have been at rock bottom for a very long time now.

The fact that I got rid of it for 2 months just by not thinking about it and completely focusing on other things shows me what I need to do but I just cannot get back to that state.

It's weird because most people would imagine getting rid of hard flaccid as this really happy euphoric experience but at the time I really wasn't over joyed or anything I kind of like had a thank fuck that's over with.

I mean the emotional rock bottom. While I don't advocated attempting to get there, some have an existential crisis when they do- an epiphany type moment where they realize their fear is no longer worth holding on to.

Not everyone has the emotional strength to venture in such areas and recover, and if this is the case with you then seeking out professional assistance would definitely be in your best interests.

I've had momentary complete mental breakdown periods where I just don't give a fuck and decide I've had enough and decide to get on with my life but it nevery lasts more than a few days. It is so ingrained in my brain to worry about HF, I am unlucky being one of the old skoolers in terms of when my HF started there was absolutely fuck all information about it anywhere which led to years of going on forums and talking to other people with HF about ligament damage and peyronies aswell as a whole bunch of other nonsensical bullshit (which still goes on today on this forum)

It's only in the last 4 years that I've accepted it as being pelvic floor tension when the proper information came out and people started healing.

I've done the whole professional assistance, therapy, hypnotherap, ENT etc. Having somthing on your mind for nearly 10 years is extremely difficult to overcome. I envy the people that got their HF when all the correct information was available.

It not an easy thing to contend with.

Yup. If it was then HF would not exist.

People wonder why i concentrate on the physical side when i coach . Frankly the mental side is too challanging.

I honestly don't believe there is a physical side to it. I could be wrong but from what I've witnessed putting the idea in somones head that it's physical can be really bad for their recovery.

There is some truth to that in that guys want to insist it is purely physical and don't want to adress the mental side . That said my preference would be to work from both sides.

Yeah that's fair enough. Are many people getting healed lately or is the the same old merry go round lol

I haven't been on here for a couple of years until yesterday.
