I read it. It's all fake news bullshit by somone who clearly doesn't know what they are talking about. What qualifys this tool to talk about hard flaccid exactly?

There is nothing physical about hfs cause yet this guy seems to emphasise injury's and strains, further adding to the mass hysteria. Great job!

Then the solution is (drum role) for people to do PE aswell.

Like I said before, you need people who have beat HF and are experts on it to be giving advice.

I'm actually mind blown at this nonsense.

Do you mean that hf from overmasterbtation are deference from people like pump?

As a longstanding member of this forum I've been listening to and assisting members with their hard flaccid issues. The article is based on this experience- as well as the experience of others.

It's agreed there's a strong emotional component to most cases of HF, but stating there's nothing physical about HF (which is a symptom and not a cause) is a gross oversimplification.

You can also do well without the name calling to get your point across- thanks!

I'm slightly embarrassed as I did not realise it was you who wrote it and I think it's great you've taken your time to do somthing.

I just think the PE and emphasis on it being a injury are negative.

Oversimplification in what way? I mean it's possible to strain the pelvic floor so it tenses up and causes hf however it's the mental state and hysteria that stop the pelvic muscles from untensing. Many people just get hf from stress and anxiety, no strain or supposed injury.

As you say many cases of hf have an initial physical cause or at least trigger .
No one is saying to ignore the mental side.

Most guys who think they have VL have anxiety or low testosterone or some such which is quite cureable.

Yeah dude, my point is that their needs to be more emphasis on how unimportant the cause is. The main objective needs to be to stop people treating it like some kind of injury.

Yeah I know dude but it's not just simply the mental part of it being a important factor. The point im making is that that mental part is THE only factor in terms of beating this. It is a dysfunction of the nervous system keeping pelvic muscles in a tense state. That's it. Nothing else. No physical therapy or exercise Is going to do anything because it's not a physical issue.

The reason people don't get better is because they spend years in a state of fight or flight coming on forums feeding off each other with bullshit about torn ligaments and scar tissie. It's mass hysteria.

MANY of us here on this forum spend countless hours assisting men with issues of all kinds. There's a lot which goes on behind the scenes.

The instigating cause of HF may be instigated by any number things. That being said, it is typical to see HF remaining due to anxiety after any initial caused has been removed or healed from.

This is something many of us here are aware of for years and do our best to mitigate. Whole threads and articles have been devoted to this particular problem, and mod/admin discussions on this topic are plenty.

still way too much emphasis on the mental side of things on HF on this site I see. It's really frustrating/saddening to see this because it's misinformation being spread and it doesn't help us as people move forward in curing/treating the condition. I've dealt with it for almost two years. My mental state has never effected it. I can be in a relaxed, good mood and it's in a bad way. I can be depressed/anxious as shit and my erections are better. There's MANY others like me. MANY others that have moved on with their lives and forgotten about it but haven't healed it. I've personally accepted it. I'd like to change and progress it but I'm focused on other things. Have been for several months. And guess what? Nothing has changed. Was I expecting it to? No. I wasn't thinking about it as I realised there's no point in feeling anxious about something out of my control.

The sad part is the people who put all this emphasis on it being mental have either never had it or had it for a very short period of time. Those that are lucky enough that the condition goes away very quickly often attribute it to something mental. Because 1. they're told it's there because of mental issues 2. they obviously immediately feel great once they see solid progress and anxiety subsides. I actually experienced this myself in the early days of the condition. I was making solid progress and I started to feel better... Naturally... I started thinking it was because something changed in my mind. However, when the HF reverted with my mood staying the same I realised it just wasn't as simple as that.

Is the condition partly mental? I'm sure it likely is. I think we're all also likely experiencing different things to some extent. But for people who have never experienced it to try and tell people who have the condition that it's mental is genuinely disgusting (unintentionally but it's very irresponsible) and I think if they were on the receiving end they'd understand why. Imagine breaking your arm and being told that it's all in your head and if you forget about it... It will heal. Not only does that come off as condescending... More importantly... It halts progress being made in figuring out the real issues with the condition. It seriously NEEDS to stop. This place has the most information and data on the condition and I'm sure i'll get in trouble for this (i'd be grateful if i could give my opinion respectfully uncensored tho) but the higher ups are forcing their narrative onto the situation. Pegasus in particular is very arrogant in his view points when he hasn't even experienced the condition. Don't talk down to us or tell us what it is we need to do to cure it. It's not simple. It hasn't been worked out. If it was... There wouldn't be so many people running around like headless chickens.... But I suppose they're all mental cases?

This post isn't meant to be antagonistic but it really, really has to be said for the future of dealing with this condition. The reality is not much is known at all and nothing has been pinpointed as being very successful. That is the reality of the situation. So every time you tell someone what to do to cure it... think twice. Offering advice is fine and very positive... but please try to be more tactful and analytical when doing so. I hope I haven't offended anyone but some of the posts on here are frustrating to read when it's very clear that little is known about the condition. This also happens to be the place with the most data and knowledge. It's important for us to use it in the right way.

One love and I wish everyone success with the condition in future : )

"You should not generalise your own experience to all guys onsite . I am sure there are many in a similar situation to yourself but also other who are not .

The idea that all ed is a head issue should be disgarded . The idea that the medical guys can correctly diagnose any and all physical issues should also be disgarded they plainly don't. Moreover as medical science moves forward they regularly discover things they thought were head issues are physical . Why should current times be any different."

Just saw this post from Pegasus.... So maybe I was harsh in directly mentioning him. I've just seen posts from people on here that really come off as dismissive. All I'm trying to say is it's very important to remain open minded on this condition as it's the only rational decision in the place we are currently in.

So I apologise for being harsh in regards to some of my criticism.

I used to be like you, I sat on forums for years speculating about penis fractures or torn ligaments, I would work myself up into a frenzy and get angry at anyone who suggested it was caused by my mental state and the fact I keep triggering worry and panic daily.

Towards the end of 2015 I started accepting that it's all a muscle tension response so I worked my ass off trying to meditate and stay positive constantly obsessing about feeling better. All this did nothing, it made no difference to my hf.

I left the forum for 3 years and only came back recently, towards the end of 2017 things got really good in my life, I got a decent job and was having a decent social life for the first time in years. Without even realising it i had stopped fixating on hf and my penis, one day I noticed my hf had completely gone away and for around 4 months everything was back to normal, hf gone.

I slowly started constantly worrying that it was going to come back, that worry turned to pure anxiety, for other reasons I lost my job, I had to move to a area where I know no one, I started smoking cigarettes again and ocassionally abusing painkillers. HF is back full force like it never went away. I've stopped smoking cigarettes and abusing painkillers, I have a new job and I'm working on moving back to where I was before, HOWEVER I cannot get back to that stage where I am relaxed and not fixated on stressful things including hf.

If you doubt any of my story feel free to look through my post history dating back years.

"I used to be like you"

lol. bro i haven't been on this site in months. I don't sit on forums speculating about anything. I don't pay attention to my condition. It's a waste of energy for me when my energy could go into much more important things right now.

That's cool to know that you recovered fully at one point tho. I've gone through stages of my HF going away for the most part but never 4 months. My erections have never been as good as they were in the past either. They get pretty damn good and certainly good enough but since i got HF my girth has never been as good. It varies depending on how prevalent the HF is but never been at 100% since onset. Are you saying your erections were normal too?

I had a feeling it would be read as me going into a frenzy/getting angry and used to support the argument lol. If you were to speak to me over voice you'd know I'm completely calm/rational. My main issue with people forcing a narrative about the condition is it halts progress because the reality is we do not know. I think it needs to be spoken about differently. There's a difference between "we think this could help you" and "this is the answer". We don't have the answer or even close to enough evidence to suggest we do. That's my issue. I guess it provides hope to say that we do but we just don't.
