  • No, do an erect kegel routine with edging. Big Al has a good routine for that. After you've mastered erect kegels then you may do the towel raises. They are not mandatory though.

    • Hey everyone I am still really struggling with my HF and all of its symptoms. I am pretty sure I have peyronies also because my dick bends at a fairly large degree...and I have one side harder than the other. Does anyone else have peyronies related symptoms with HF?

      • Also my dick feels even more detached from my body when doing RK's. It feels more dead. Is this part of the step in recovery? I usually give up because I don't see improvement over a few weeks.

        • Did you already have an ultrasound? If yes and no scar tissue was found, you probably don't have peyronie's. I made the mistake to believe for years that I have some kind of peyronie's even though no scar tissue was ever found. I was completely convinced because of the bend in my penis.
It took me almost 4 years until I finally found the term "hard flaccid" and I realized that this can also cause a bend. If the exercises are not working for you, you either have to do them for a longer time (a few months) or you have to try other exercises.

I think there is no universal exercise that works for everyone. If RK's don't work for you, then try something else (internal/external massage, stretches, Yoga...).
But please don't do the same mistake as I did. I know many of us don't trust in docs anymore (so did I for a long time), but they still usually know what they're talking about. So if they say you have no peyronie's, then you don't have it.

If you never had an ultrasound made, then you should waste no time and make one.

I haven't. But I had a exam done by a urologist and he said felt a little plaque...But I don't fully trust him. Was one side of your penis harder than the other? Could you feel the cord?

He felt a plaque and still didn't make an ultrasound? I think you should go to another urologist then, because as soon as you can feel plaque, the doc should make an ultrasound to check for calcifications.
I can sometimes feel a cord in soft flaccid state and I can feel a little gap during an erection. I'm not entirely sure what it is, but I've had countless ultrasounds by different docs, Doppler ultrasound and an MRI and they could never find anything.
So I'll focus on my exercises and stretches, hoping that the bend will disappear along with my other symptoms.

How severe is your bend? Could it potentially cause trouble during intercourse? Mine is very minor in erect state, which is why I'm not worrying too much about it.

I mean its pretty severe and its getting worse. I can still have sex fine and its not painful at all...its just the bend that has me worried. It bends when flaccid too.

I'd recommend you to see another urologist and ask for an ultrasound! If he finds plaque, you should immediately ask him for a prescription of Pentox and Cialis 5mg and start taking L-Arginine.

That was my exact problem. but today , after a month of stretches, i am better. Not fully cured. but better. Start the stretches in the HANS protocol asap and if u want more knowledge, get the books 'Heal pelvic pain' by amy stein, and 'headache in the pelvis' by Dr Wise and theres another book by isa herrera. They are all available on kindle. I also recommend getting a therawand. As most of the trigger points for the guys who got it from kegels are internal. ie inside the rectum. At least thats the case for me. With constipation being a symptom of the muscles in there being tight(not tight in a good way)

Which stretches are are the best ones? If you could name a few.

I will also check those books out.

What is a Therawand exactly? I know you stick it up your butt but how does it work? Is it like some kind of vibrator that relaxes your muscles? What if you do find a trigger point? Then what? Do you just hold it on the painful area until it's no longer painful? Also if you get one delivered does it have "Therawand" written all over the box? I don't really feel like going down to the door and collecting it off some delivery guy who thinks I like shoving things up my ass, LMAO.

                    • I really feel like the therawand is reaching trigger points that no external stretch or massage ball can.. Hopefully I start seeing some relief from all these terrible PFD/tension symptoms

Read the instructions they give you when you buy it. Your concern about the delivery guy's opinion should be the last thing on your mind, this is for health reasons.

dude since u got fixed with the therawand, all it means is those muscles got locked up again cuz u masturbated before u could give it time to get fixed completely. this is not like popping a pill. it takes a while. abstain from masturbation for 2 weeks and give urself 5 minutes internal massages everyday. that should help i think. also check if ur trigger points anywhere in ur glutes, thighs, and abs. and also perineal region( between ur butthole and balls) trigger points dont exactly have to hurt much. When u read about trigger points, u think pressing them would hurt a lot and we go around looking for those points. but that neednt be the case especially if ur case isnt that severe. look for points that feel tense, that makes u feel like oh somethings not right here. then press on them for 30-90 seconds. That is all. Take ur time to do it. And add the yoga stretches too to ur regime. The keep is to keep a happy, positive attitude and keep doing the massages n stretches along with them. Everything will get alright
