We all see the news every day droning on about Mr. Trump. I have no snake in the grass here but what my question is; How do you view the advance of American Politics and what are your views on the President? Which President do you think was the best or worst and why? What could America do better?

If you're from another country than America how has our perception around the world changed?

Oh you do love living on the wild side. Okay I'll bite. I think ole Trump is doing a great job. Just got a big tax plan though. From what I read AT&T is giving their employees and 1000 buck bonus because of the bill. Sucks that I don't work for them.

I have no stake here simply curious about others viewpoints and expanding my perspective on the matter of politics. All opinions and viewpoints are welcome. What do you think of the news being consistent in projecting the idea that the top 1 percent benefits most?

America is very divided politically. Conservatives that typically hold to traditional Judeo / Christian values along with free market capitalism, the Puritan work ethic, and fiscal responsibility.

The other side is Liberals / socialists / communists - atheists / and the entire menagerie of losers who don't want to work, think they are entitled to free healthcare, and all the misfits that have strange sexual orientations. That's the Democrat party.

It's like oil and water... they don't mix, and with Trump being the conservative you can understand why the other side hates him and the "Make America Great Again" theme. Because they won't be happy until the United States is destroyed and everyone is as equally miserable with their lives as they are.

The top 1% pay most of the taxes. Why can't they get a break as well?

I'm not an American, but I'll chime on anyway. I was feeling very optimistic about Trump during his campaign. However, despite all of his talks about "draining the swamp", most of the guys he's brought into the administration are part of the same old establishment, and part of the problem, in my opinion. And of the few genuine guys that were taken in, most of them have been pushed out, by insidious means. And so far, Trump has failed to fulfill any of his important promises that would benefit the American people. From what I understand, funding for the wall is under consideration in Congress and looking promising, so that's at least a positive development.

I am not solely blaming Trump for failure to fulfill his promises, though, as he's obviously being worked against by his own party, at every turn.

Can America afford these tax cuts? $1 trillion added to debt?

When I applied for my mortgage four years ago, I calculated property tax and mortgage interest as a deduction from my income to determine the mortgage loan amount I could afford. Now I am not sure I will be able to keep up with my mortgage payments. I don't think the predicted $1,100 average reduction of taxes for the middle class will make up the difference, especially when you consider the savings will be phased out over ten years.

The lucky 1% don't have to worry about a phase out and will receive a predicted average savings of $37,000 per year.. The elimination of the estate tax won't affect me because I will not have anything left to give to my kids.

We added 9 trillion over the last 8 years. 1 trillion over 10 ain't bad and if the economy ramps up we won't have to worry about that.

This Trump and Republican hysteria is not founded. We went way off the deep end these last 8-9 years with regulation after regulation and spending that saw no limits. I think it is a fresh idea to eliminate some of the bloat and let the economy flourish as it seems to be. Free markets, without limitations that inhibit growth will allow everyone to prosper, not just the 1%. A rising tide floats all ships.

It's actually closer to two trillion, just so the middle class can pay for corporate and rich tax cuts. Sure, we get them as well but our tax cuts disappear in 10 years while the corporate/rich ones never go away. In the end we'll be paying more so companies can pay for executive bonuses and share buybacks.

Bought the story line - Hook, Line and Sinker.

Explain to me how Corporations, who produce products, and have competitors producing same products are not motivated by reduced costs that they can pass on to consumers to gain market share? To think that reducing taxes is a gift to Corporations shows a level of misunderstanding about basic economics that people should learn from. There is a price at which a product will sell, there is also a level of profit that a business is willing to make. When there is a disconnect, the product doesn't sell or the consumer chooses a competitors product.

Ever driven by a KFC lately? You will hardly notice more than one or two cars in the parking lot. They have priced themselves out of the market. Such the recent launch of the $5 combos. Contrast that by driving by a Chick-fila and see the cars backed up around the parking lot. Works for food, works for other consumables but takes more time to implement.
