A quote done by a moron has now been erased!

Are you kidding? Who the hell do you think you are to talk to her like that? I'll gave you 5 minutes to go back and erase all that crap you just wrote or you're gone forever!!!

        How much did he drink?

Yeah, I would imagine that he was quite shocked.

No not really as alcohol does cause problems but in getting his patients to relax a bit, be less stressd out, and enjoy life that to him is medically more acceptable than telling you no alcohol and no fun. If pressed in a court of law no doc will say alcohol in any amount is good for you but they're trying to be human.
They likely would refrain from doing that in any court for fear of people taking it too far and drinking to excess regularly. But there is ample medical evidence that says small quantity of wine can benefit your life.

I'm thinking the same. Even though I can't give them the cyber boot to the rear end.

Was anything you just wrote kind? Oh she's boring, she's a Christian, when was the last time you had sex, you look down on people, it's easier if you're a woman than a man; none of it was said in any constructive way rather it was meant to hurt. She's my friend so knock it off.

Yeah you can have an opinion. Just be a little more tactful.

So who cares if shes your friend? That means you can bully me for having an opinion? What's the point of making a thread asking our opinions if you only allow for positive comments?

I like you avatar, by the way. Is that a photo of you?

If I were to alter my opinion to please you, then it wouldn't by my opinion now would it? Take them off the pedestal, pal.

On most occasions that I have drank it has been alone, although I drink very rarely, maybe only every few months. Not really a big deal though.

What you said is fine, it's your opinion. You should have expressed it better, that's all, the tone of your post was aggressive, belittling, dismissive, and lacked tact. No one is "bullying" you Mike.

My comments in this thread weren't positive, I disagreed with Islander and her views, but I wrote my posts in a polite manner (imo).

You don't have to aler your opinion just the tone. You can say what you have to say by not being so offensive.

                              Mike,

How we talk to people sets the tone for the conversation to come. Are you looking for an argument, or to help someone out? Are you being constructive, or destructive?
When the OP asked for your honest opinion, I'm sure she would be willing to welcome both good and bad, but we don't tolerate posts that insult, put down or belittle people.

I get what you're saying. You have an opinion, and you want it voiced. A lot of guys on here would agree with what you're saying, but it's not the content of what was said that is the issue, but instead how it was said. You want to post your thoughts and we definitely want to read them. But we also have rules to follow and this applies to everyone - you need to be polite.

The only beverage that goes with Football (soccer) or Rugby is beer.
Sometimes I watch games on my own, and therefore drink on my own. Normally 3 Pints for Rugby and 4 Pints for football. Beer, Larger, Bitter or Ale. It's all nice.

EU standards for drinking are stupid. I have just had 3 Tins (2.1 units each, 6.3 units total) of Stella before I go out. UK Chief Medical Officers recommend that men do not regularly exceed 3-4 units daily (it's on the side of the tin).

Drinking alcohol alone is no big deal. Getting drunk to the point of passing out alone... Hmm, seek help?
