I listed all of the ones I found, but I guess we need to sugar coat mediocrity.

its not mediocrity when the majority of women like, want, desire and prefer average sized penis. and you can choose to keep using negative connotations and words to label average or you can rise to the challenge and try find one that has a more positive mind fuck for all who are average in size. I guess I should have left this thread alone. My mind clearly cannot grasp the purpose of this exorcise. It's not the word average that men have a problem with. It's the very concept.

I know its the concept and i am challenge the men here to find a word that doesn't trigger the ego fall out or the fear or what average on an emotional bases means. Men here seem to have more issue with being Average in size than small because of what average means in general application to your life.(small and big don't mean anything unless applied to measurement where as average has multiple uses)

I am pretty sure I haven't put down my cock, put down myself though, but tried to discuss how each person could feel about the word average and that trying to come up with a better word for average isn't all that necessary.

If a word makes average sound better than average, then it isn't average anymore it is then better than average and coming up with something that would be synonymous with average would still mean average, basically.

Or I shall come up with a word. Why don't we just use what Magic: the Gathering does for it's rarities. Common, uncommon, rare, and mythic rare. Every average penis can be uncommon.

The word average seems to insult and be taken as a negative by men.
So what is another word that we could re-brand the mid range penis? a word that doesn't offend male ego? a word that can be used proudly..
It always amazes me how many take the word average in a negative way when its being used as a positive.

Imagine what a different place this forum would be if we focused on the amount wanting to be gained and not the total size of the dick.. if no beginning stats were given, everyone started at zero inches with goals of how many inches they wish to add, just progress of growth.. no mention of dick size, just dick growth. We sort of do make it important. Men brag about how big their penis is, usually not true, get e-mails and regular mail about how important it is to have it bigger, and, normally, women don't retell the night before about that average penis they got into bed with last night, but the stories where it was big enough to fit them perfectly, making the word big important. When sex doesn't go well we point the finger right to the guys and something must be wrong with the penis. Then of course we have this site where if guys find their penis being bigger is of enough priority then they can spend 20 minutes to 2 hours a day on trying to get it bigger, buying or making their own equipment in doing that, and talking about it here, showing off how big we are or how big we have gotten from these exercises in our signatures as we post. Here's one thing I think is worth noting: All the size charts work in standard deviation form, such that not only is 5.5-6" the average figure but it also happens to be the mode - or most often, figure.

So not only are guys in that range of average size, but they are also of very common size. It's one thing to be in the middle, but average guys are also in very good company. The percentage chance of dating a woman with exclusively significantly larger partners is not terribly likely.

I'm sure someone's already said this but you're falling straight into the trap of equating "average" with "small". Average not small! I think part of the problem is the way we've come to think of average or regular meaning small because of the way, for example, cafes will call their three sizes of coffee medium, large and extra-large - which is ridiculous, because "medium" means in the middle, between two extremes. If there is no size smaller than medium then it's not medium, it's small.

Really, "average" is a totally neutral term and it's only because we have an obsession with being competitive and better than everyone else (which of course means bigger, in terms of dick size) that everyone wants to be bigger than average. But this is impossible, since half the population will always be below average!*

My suggestion is that we keep average to mean average, and just bear in mind that having a massive cock does not make you more of a man and is not automatically a magic passport to being an amazing lover.


*This is true by definition if when we say "average", we're talking about the median. If we're talking about the mean, then it's possible for >50% of a sample to be above or below that value, but for a statistic like dick size the mean and the median are probably very close.
