    Thanks bignasty! I am on test cypionate 150 mg per week. I only say I would like to get off the test because I don't like the thought of my testicles at half their normal size and not hanging low as they used to. It seems so unnatural - like chemical castration. Now with that said, since I started back to the gym three weeks ago, I have no aches or pains in my joints and I get good pumps. Overall it feels so very good and brings back old memories. It is my happy time each day I guess.

    I am curious, are you on an estrogen blocker as well? I have read in other forums that Anastrozole can adversely affect libido.

      So guys, I do have a few questions, and if anyone can help I would appreciate it.

      First, as of now I am taking the following supplements:

      1. Multi-vitamin daily (basic vitamin with A, Bs, C, D, E)
      2. B-complex daily
      3. AAKG - 3-6g daily on an empty stomach about an hour before lunch
      4. L-Citrulline - 3-6g daily with the AAKG
      5. Pycnogenol daily
      6. L-Tyrosine - 500-1000mg daily on an empty stomach in the morning
      7. Butea superba occasionally - don't feel any real results from it
      8. Calcium, Magnesium, Zinc combination (daily after lunch)
      9. Just started taking 5-HTP at night before bed - will probably take only about 4 days per week or less.

      I want to help the brain chemical rebalancing, but I don't want to cause additional problems.

      The problem with the AAKG and Citrulline is that without the desire for sex, the erection is non-existent. I am hoping that my abstinence, exercising, and supplements over time will rebuild my libido - my desire for women. As of now, I am completely flatlined so my penis is less than its normal size, no real sensation, and lifeless. It is like an appendage with no real purpose.

      Any other ideas? Has anyone taken any of these things?

        Hey JohnQ,

        Congratulations on taking these steps to your health! I want to point out a few things that stuck out with me. Firstly, what is your current body fat percentage now--approximately? Secondly, you may want to look into the caffeine pills... caffeine is a vasoconstrictor (Caffeine - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia). Along those lines...what is your alcohol consumption? Alcohol can suppress your testosterone levels. Additionally, I would probably add some fish oil supplements to the ones that you already take. And by golly, stay as natural as you can. Most of the vitamins, minerals, etc. you can get from veggies. Give juicing a try. I am not saying that you need to only drink juice, but I have added natural vegetable juices to my diet for the past year....and I have never felt better.

            Day 16
            Penis - took a weak yohimbine (2.5 mg) yesterday afternoon and penis is a bit larger flaccid. Awoke with a halfway erection
            Mood - depression today has been horrific! Sat at my desk all day and contemplated different means of suicide
            Morning erection - see above - nothing remarkable

            Don't be alarmed by the Mood entry. I do not intend to kill myself. I have just felt hopeless today but feel a bit better this evening. Just ate a chicken salad and a small bowl of brown rice. It is 6:40 PM now and I intend to relax a bit for 2 hours then hit the gym tonight.

            Took my weekly testosterone injection. Went a little higher on the dosage - instead of 150 mg went 200 mg with 1mg Anastrozole (estrogen blocker). We'll see if this helps mood or libido any. So far the test by itself has has very little effect on my libido, BUT I was masturbating everyday - some days twice per day. Now that I am NOT masturbating maybe I will begin to see results? Time will tell...

              Hello Wzntme! Here are my stats as of now:

              Height: 5'10"
              Weight: 238 lbs (in August I was 260 and as of three weeks ago was 248 I have lost 10 lbs in the last three weeks from cardio and grueling workouts)
              Waist: 38 in (my goal within 1 year is 32-34 inches)
              Chest: 48 in (my goal within 1 year is 50-52 inches)
              Upper Arm: 18 in relaxed, almost 20 in flexed
              Thighs: 28 in

              I am fairly muscular and used to bodybuild years ago. Now I have fat around the middle (but less than I did three weeks ago) and my bodyfat is probably around 20%.

              Regarding the caffeine pills, I took them for several years everyday and quit them about three weeks ago. I am curious why you recommend them now? I am just asking and open to all feedback

              One other thing to mention is that I also consumed ephedrine HCl (100-150 mg) per day for about 7 years. It has been 10+ years since I have taken any but I feel they have affected me psychologically. I can say that ephedrine is NOT a substance that you want to take and attempt sex! It is a vasoconstrictor and wreaks havoc on my ability to achieve an erection. Furthermore, I am sure that it altered my dopaminergic system and that is why I am now taking L-Tyrosine and Mucuna Pruriens.

              As far as alcohol goes, I used to drink nearly every Friday night to unwind from the stressful week. Generally I would cook out and have 5-10 weak Jack Daniels cocktails mixed with water. I have not had a drink since about 6 weeks ago and before that it had been about 3-4 months. You could say that I have virtually quit drinking altogether. For some reason I do not want it anymore. I am very attuned to my mood too. If I have had a great week at work and accomplished a lot and feel positive I may have the urge to have a few but with my moods as they have been lately I stay away from it. I don't want to sink deeper into a depression.

                Also, for my weekly testosterone injection I increased the dosage this week to 200 mg and I am back taking my estrogen blocker (Anastrozole). I am wondering if my not taking the estrogen blocker last week has contributed more to my depression? Will find out over the next couple of days.

                  Mood - a bit of depression but nothing like yesterday. Overall mood is better.
                  Morning erection - awoke with what I would call a 50% erection

                  One thing I changed yesterday is that i took a Catuaba bark extract capsule. I took another this morning and began having sexual thoughts about my wife. I attempted to initiate sex around 10 but she has a chronic back problem and was just too uncomfortable to do it. Hey I can't say anything...I deprived her of sex for many years! But my desire was there and as she took off her pants my penis began to grow and swell. Not a 100% erection but probably 75% - enough to get the job done if needed.

                  Don't know how much the Catuaba contributed. I bought an extract from Barlowe's Herbal Elixirs. I also have some Muira Puama that I purchased there and it seems to help a bit. I just don't want to take these things too many days without cycling. I have read conflicting stories regarding cycling Catuaba and Muira Puama. Some people say not to take either for more than 2 days in a row without 3-4 days off while others say they don't reach full effectiveness until 2 weeks.

                  Does anyone have any experience with these herbs?

                      Morning erection - awoke at 1:00 am with a decent erection. Was a bit anxious and could not go back to sleep for a couple of hours.

                      As I said yesterday, I introduced a dose of Catuaba bark and that may have been a catalyst for my libido. The important point to note is the fact that even with Catuaba bark, three weeks ago my penis was so exhausted the sensation and arousal upon sight would not have been there. I actually had the urge to grope my wife. I lifted her shirt and rubber her breasts and buttocks and felt the beginnings of arousal. That sounds really corny and ridiculous to most men, but for me it is a sign of improvement.

                      Let me be clear: For NO reason will I masturbate ever again! I am done with that crap and I am determined to rebalance myself correctly.

                      I am by no means out of the woods yet. I anticipate a relapse of my flatline any day and I am mentally prepared for that. Until I can achieve an erection on demand by merely looking at a woman, I will not be happy. Even then, masturbation is out of the question - period.

                          Penis - started out small and lifeless but beginning to improve as of about 9:45 AM
                          Mood - depression is better today - able to focus a bit more
                          Morning erection - actually slept pretty good last night

                          Since today is Monday, I cycled back on my L-Tyrosine first thing in the morning on an empty stomach with a B-complex. Noticed that my penis shrunk a bit but after taking my morning dose of AAKG and L-Citrulline at 9:15 I noticed about 9:45 My penis was slight larger and I can see the veins while flaccid. I also have slight emissions that are interesting. Just clear lubrication but interesting nonetheless. Saw nice hot college girl at the convenience store this morning and had some real sexual thoughts about her. This is an interesting metamorphosis taking place.

                          I seem to just be feeling a little better overall. My workouts are good and my strength is increasing.

                          The eye floaters that I used to have seem to be subsiding, which I expected at some point. I am not as impatient as I used to be and I am a little more attuned to other people's feelings.

                          I will keep posting everyday until I reach full recovery. If it is 2 years from now, then so be it.

                            That is great news and your encouraging words have been most helpful! I will continue posting indefinitely until I am completely recovered. I don't know how long that will take but it doesn't matter.

                            I noticed your length and girth measurements increasing. Would you mind telling me what you are doing to get those results? I am currently at 7" erect and between 3.5 and 5.5 flaccid. Don't now the girth but it is large enough. I would love to reach 8"+ but have always been afraid of vacuum pumps and other things.
