PE happens for me regardless of kegeling. Kegeling just causes it to happen quicker. At a 100% erection I cum within a few strokes whether I'm kegeling, reverse kegeling or doing nothing.

But if they always had that effect, what makes you think that it's possible for them NOT to have the effect?Originally posted by ammonite View PostKegels have always had that effect on me. Just, as I got better at doing them, their effect increased. I should also point out that I was doing this mostly sub conciously. Try and pay closer attention to your body, it may trun out you're doing something you don't think you are.Total extender hours: 590+

Read my work and understand it, then Minutemans work and understand that. You will learn a lot ,then put it into practise and have the proof for yourself.

Been there, done that. If one person's experience constitutes "proof", then I guess I have for myself "proof" that exercises don't work.Originally posted by Pegasus View PostRead my work and understand it, then Minutemans work and understand that. I'm not quite sure what you mean here? I assume you intend to say what is the benefit of kegels, which is because stronger more toned muscles give you more control. However, you must do these in conjunction with reverse kegels or your pelvic floor will become tense and you'll get involuntary kegels. I personally think regular kegels should not be done during stimulation, with the exception if DO/MMO.Originally posted by thomasthetankengine View PostBut if they always had that effect, what makes you think that it's possible for them NOT to have the effect?

What I meant by the question is that you came to the conclusion that you somehow trained your body to associate kegels with quicker ejaculation because you did it so often. However, it was like that from the beginning, just not to the same extent. In fact, you even said you discovered them by accident. So if I've followed you correctly, they never DIDN'T have the effect. That kind of implies it is normal rather than trained.Originally posted by ammonite View PostI'm not quite sure what you mean here? I see. The effect of kegels speeding you to ejaculation is normal. What is not normal is kegeling during masturbation; I know for a fact that I did not perform kegels when I first started masturbating. Of course, this comes back to evolution, and how quick sex used to be advantageous in a dangerous, predator filled world, perhaps our ancestors learned how to kegel themselves to a quick finish? However in today's world, where we have as much time as we want (usually...Originally posted by thomasthetankengine View PostWhat I meant by the question is that you came to the conclusion that you somehow trained your body to associate kegels with quicker ejaculation because you did it so often. ) there is no advantage to finishing quickly, and so kegeling during sex should not be considered normal.
In short, you can train yourself to kegel during stimulation, to the point where it becomes ingrained. This is not good, and needs reversing with the techniques on this forum, such as competing response.
Kegels have always been associated with a quick orgasm, but kegels have not always been associated with masturbation. I did not do kegels in the beginning, therefore they did not make me finish faster.

Right, that clarifies everything. Personally I don't share the same problem. I have no problem with 'involuntary kegels'. My PME happens when my erection gets to 100%.Originally posted by ammonite View PostI see. The effect of kegels speeding you to ejaculation is normal. Since the topic is about not to kegel during sex I think it's good to post my question here even though it's not strictly related to sex.
I've restarted to edge regularly and lately I've done an interesting discovery. Apparently when I stroke my penis my pelvic floor is pretty relaxed and I have no contractions at all. Keep in my mind that sometimes I use lube but not every time. In the recent sessions I have started to focus on my glans, caressing it and touching it with lube (ballooning basically) and I realized that I get strong IKs. I have tried to reduce them by going slower and relaxing the pf (can't do it though) but it's not easy at all.
I was wondering is it normal to get IKs while stimulating the glans? Or is it a typical condition of premature ejaculators?
If it's not normal then I would definitely regard this condition as one of my major cause of premature ejaculation besides arousal control.

Learning to control your kegels is part of the training. People think they are over stimulated, when actually they haven't learned control of thier pelvic floor. Practice the ballooning and concentrate on stopping the involuntary kegels.ALL THE WAY WITH GOOD OLE JAY!
