  • Been going through a divorce. Feeling bummed out. Thinking about doing volunteer work on the weekends. Might do it through habitat for humanity. I've volunteered for other things in the past and the feeling you get from helping others who can't repay you in return is one of the most rewarding. It's great just knowing that you made a difference in someone's life.

    I've had my share of failures. Really let down my kids. Me and the wife just couldn't work things out. She wanted me to leave every time the tough got going. A lot of it was my fault. But after being married 8 years and of those 8 years 2+ years were being separated (intermittently) you just gotta realize this isn't going to work and trying to stay for the kids is just gonna do more damage. Regardless I do feel like I failed her and them. I can only look forward. There's no going back. I will always love them and never want to cause them harm. I just have to love them differently and yet the same now. Sometimes that's just how life is. Not everything has to be understood. It's what you do with your life that matters. Do something that gives you purpose and meaning and no matter how bad everything else gets, you can lay your head down and rest with peace at night.

          • Been a little while sinc any PE. Been since before Christmas that there was any serious routine commitment. So about two months off... maybe a month and a half. It's been a hell of a ride since then with life. Extreme highs and severe lows. Earlier this week I honestly felt depressed for the first time in 15 years. Just couldn't shake off the gorilla that was weighing heavy on my chest. Luckily it was only temporary. I think work is stressing me out more than the divorce I'm going through lol.

            • I'm gonna shake things up a little this go around. I'm gonna measure with a rubber ruler and see what my BPEL is. I've always used tailors tape and somewhat doubt the accuracy of using that to measure length. So what my BPEL is with the ruler is what I'm gonna go with. I suspect it is not going to be as big but I want to measure by the most modest standards.

              I'll also have a new routine I will be starting. I will be moderately deconditioned so this will be a great opportunity to see how effective this new routine is. I feel like I'm on the home stretch. 8" is on the horizon. One last venture. Hope my journey will help inspire you all.
