How do you calculate the amount of lean muscle that you gain ? If you went from 64 kgs to 74 kgs after 3 months of gym, how do you know how much lean muscle mass weight you gained out of those 10 kgs ?

I understand completely what dude is saying especially about tendon strength which comes with time. So, you can take steriods which but more mass faster but it doesn't compensate for the tendons at all. Both must work hand in hand else torn tendons and even ligaments can occur even if one is capable of lifting the weight via muscle mass alone. I will never support steriod use even for the quick boost (one's health is not worth it even for the trophy). But health over vanity and pride.

You might want to ask 6 Time Mr. Olympia Dorian Yates!

Good job, you can name previous Olympians. Why don't you ask him yourself?

It's possible to tear the tendons (the soft tissues that attach the muscles to the bones that, when contracted, cause movement to the bones) if you are not listening to your body and you are trying to lift far more than your tendons are primed for. This is not exclusive to anabolic steroid use, it applies to general weightlifting. Tearing tendons is not a cause and effect of steroid use, it just makes the incident more likely since people tend to think they are invincible when they are on steroids ... and leaving out your own well-being and safety even for a moment is all it takes to incur injuries. Tendon tearing is generally caused by hammering your body day in and day out without changing your intensity. The body needs periods of "rest" either by lowering the volume and/or increasing the reps or by taking time off entirely for a week or two. To make sure you do not incur injury, you need to make sure you are cycling through various intensities and not going balls to the wall month after month ... which tends to happen with individuals that are juicing. I'm not defending steroid use or saying injuries can't happen while on steroids ... I'm saying that it's not a direct cause of them. It's a mix of factors that lead up to injury.

The point is, no matter what you are doing ... and no matter what substance you may be on ... safety comes first before anything else.

There is not a single word in that entire article relating to soft tissue injuries. If you're confirming that steroids have negative side effects, I'm pretty sure that 100% of the people in here already knew that. So I'm not sure what point you're trying to make with that article.

Moral of the story: Be safe, guys and dolls. Practice perfect form as best you can and leave your ego out of the equation. Pace yourself ... even when you are going HAM ... and listen to your body ... whether you are all natural or getting assistance, don't be stupid in the gym.

Thanks for the suggestion. I did indeed at a Max Muscle event in Sacramento, Ca. as well as Coleman and Marla Duncan.

Also Frank Zane that I posted many months ago. Purchase a Zane Leg Blaster that included is a 20 - 30 phone call with the man himself.

Thanks Again for the advice TB.

I've met several Olympians as well over the years. Just last year I met Phil Heath, Kai Greene, and Ronnie Coleman (Coleman is still quite large even though he hasn't competed in ages). I've met Frank Zane before, but he was already in his 60s. He's still quite jacked for his age. He's one of my biggest inspirations.

Edit: Also, Jay Cutler is a bit of a douche bag.
