An update especially for Ranchi. I went to see another urologist today on the NHS in a small town outside my city. Firstly he said the urologist I saw in London is the best in the Uk. He read my report along with a neurologist who I initially emailed the report to. They want to do a doppler and said I should repeat the MRI with the London urologist.

He will also take a look at the MRI cd I left him with his colleagues (the one that apparently was not well done).

Now they told me that it is very likely that my theory holds and one of the fascias have been ruptured. The explanation, if I don't have peyronies and I don't (no curve) but still have inflamation and it looks like that in the flaccid state then the aerolar tissue is bulging out. Also antibiotics did not do anything for me (inflamation wise).

The prof of urology said he believes it is the bucks fascia that is the problem rather than the superficial fascia. The doppler should rule out other issues also to be sure.

I will do the doppler and already been referred for another MRI with London urologist.

Sorry the news is not encouraging but process of elimination is worthwhile at least.

Dude I think there is good news here. You are a legend for convincing the docs of the torn fascia theory. So many docs would have just checked for peyronie's and sent you on your way or told you its in your head, so that's really an accomplishment. You've put yourself on the track for treatment. Keep up the good fight bro and keep us updated!

It's good to see that u made a update, thanks and believe me everyone here have their fingers crossed waiting for your next update after your Doppler and MRI test.
When you have already made a visit to top uro in London then it obviates the situation of visiting any other uros especially in a countryside.Already u have seen multiple uros.
This new uro feels a tear in bucksfascia, but according to your research or my or any other user in this forum any micro tear in bucks will cause severe pain, purple penis, huge inflammation, mind it I am not talking about fracture.Consider worst case if u actually have a micro tear then no uro in this world will put u under knife, they will follow conservative methods with antiinflammatories, unless u have cause a major trauma such as fracture, tore some tissue in an accident, dog bite, penile amputed partially accidentally or intentionally, zipper injury etc etc which is too much severe than yours.
I would suggest not to visit any more uros, rely on the top uro in London who was paid heavily from ur pocket, get Doppler,MRI done and plz don't forget to update.
I don't know if I should wish that u find some anomalies in Doppler or the report should come clean ,coz both the condition will be mentally exhausting

      • He is more convinced that if my theory holds then it is with the superficial fascia and not the bucks fascia as the superficial would lead to aerolar tissue issues which impinge on the skin.
I think you should have told your country side uro about this opinion of top uro in London.Bcoz both are contradicting. You already had ultrasound,MRI and cystoscopy which came out clean, this is what you said ,now TBH if there was anything grossly wrong it would have shown in the test.I am not trying to argue or win a point but personally for ur best I feel u are getting caught in the web of anxiety and research.May be there is something wrong which is not detectable, may be it will take its time to heal,it might be possible that ur nerves are weak or some minor soft tissue damage, may be u had been neglecting ur diet or did some wrong physical exercise causing muscles spasm.Dont know what's wrong but I feel your test reports should come normal.

Hey Ranchi, I know you are not trying to win a point at all and glad you are sharing your views. I agree with what you are saying and it could be anything. I have only done ultrasound, not doppler yet so let's see. It does seem it is one of the fascias though or like you said soft tissue damage.

The thing is I can't function I am off work and have been for a few months as I find myself in discomfort all the time. In the flaccid state my penis is awful. It doesn't sit the same way and the skin is awful and wider (like swollen) not tight enough.in addition to this. My penis is darker in colour also. The worst two things probably the skin directly under the glans that stick out (something not holding it together as it should). The other unrelated issue which I mentioned before is my narrower meatus that sometimes flares up, means I dripple after urination (horrible symptom). When I sit I mainly see only the glans of the penis in a big shaft. Anyway will continue with the updates.

I mean, sure if you can't get hard AT ALL then it may be worth a shot but its kind of weird that there was no triggering event for this to all happen. Anyways, best of luck and keep us updated.
Dear Mike, let's see what it comes to. I will put my faith in the London urologist since he is the best and let's see. Thank you for wishing me luck and will keep u all updated.

Thanks for the kind words!! To be honest I feel they are only starting to take me seriously cause 1) my written report was sound like an journal article and logical. 2) they have seen me do many tests and I am pestering every doctor as they would be doing if it was their penis! 3) sadly my dr title gives me credit which is unfair I feel. I say sadly because this should not be a valid reason to take anyone with penis problems seriously! 4) the beautiful reason: I tell them in any of the tests can you detect the fascias? And they say no. The urologist and neurologist in the countryside said they definitely see it as plausible and that my report was convincing. I let two newbies sit in on the clinical consultation as I figure it's best they see complexity early on.

If I can get this sorted and it's a long shot. I will demand 2 things:

              1) the fascias to be renamed after me
              2) an honoury degree in urology

              • Alright, an update as promised. I went to London as the useless NHS rejected me for the MRI with the best urologist in London despite him asking for the referral. If any of you are from the UK, definitely the NHS needs to be scrapped (hate paying into it, has done shit for me, and there should be an opt out option). How to to get things done, the following illustrates:

I emailed and arranged a private one right away and did it this Tuesday (yesterday). I had the horrible injection experience again and then my MRI 20 minutes later and consultation with urologist was arranged for 2 hours later.

Urologist also reduced the price of the MRI as he thought it was unfair that I didn't get one on the NHS, no right to reject me and take 2.5 weeks to do so. Btw not fun having painful injections walking about London trying to catch ur consultation.

Anyway, I saw the consultant and held my breath as I entered the room he looked at me and said "it's normal"! I did do MRI with his favourite radiologist.

I put my hands in my head and said where do we go from here...a doppler? He said that won't show anything new and you will waste ur money. He said you need to take 5mg of cialis a day because I think you have hard flaccid! For those of you who said urologist don't know shit about it, this is true but I expect the best to know a bit better.

Now he said hard flaccid may have and may not have anything to do with pelvic area. He is convinced that HF can happen from what you would call minor penile injuries, any minor penile damage may affect something that blocks something that appears as something. He said HF can be confused with peyronies, vascular problems like a venous leak, or even nerves.

He told me going back to my theory he is positive that the bucks fascia is hard to tear but he doesn't rule out the superficial fascia and so the aerolar tissue could be out of place (reiterating that this does it show up on an MRI). I am going with him one step at a time. I have to see him in two months.

Assuming it is the HF that I have as a result of some penis trauma or whatever. i know everyone's case will be different but I want to ask if:

                1) any of you saw improvements by taking cialis

                2) any diet advice u recommend?

                3) any dos and Donts?

                4) have any of you read the HF book available online. I am reading the sample chapter on the train and looks decent. Any valuable advice on there? Worth buying?

                5) how do you guys get around doing things day to day??? My discomfort is awful most days that I can't walk far, hate taking showers, can't wear jeans really etc. I take a lot of pain killers, solphadeen max, xanax etc for the pain that inevitably comes at some point and to relax. In short, Everything is a mission.

Sorry no good news again to report, but relegating issues out. Would really appreciate hearing from those that had a significant improvement in their HF symptoms and can advise on things related to diet and coping.

Was really waiting for your update, since I found u someone who could pay loads to get diagnosed, and that too from top urologist In London. And who had almost gained a doctorate degree in urology from tons of research.
Are u kidding me , really did the uro spoke these two words *hard flaccid*? In fact any uro round the world never used these two words in diagnosis, this word I think has been invented in anomalies forum.
Sorry but as expected there was nothing wrong in report, now u must be in dilemma.
I don't know about Cialis but I have been taking a medicine for a month now with composition Coenzyme Q10 (300mg),l argenine(250mg), selenium and zinc.It has really improved my condition a bit.Coenzyme Q10 is antioxidant which decreases the oxidative stress damage happening due to excess free radicals formation.Largenine improves blood circulation.
Now what does that mean any damage may affect something and damage something,is there no way to find out what has been damaged?I mean I have heard soft tissue damage in penis cannot be cured and it remains permanent. And uro can't do anything in this case.

                    • Just a bit of light humor here: It's actually spelled "argInine" with an "i", but if you misspell it with an "e" and include the "L-" prefix for the typical stereoisomer, it spells "Large nine"
