    • IDK why? But. All the sudden I got a really bad feeling. I haven’t felt this way in a while. I was over come at dinner tonight and started crying. My wife was like What? I feel like we need to get her checked out. ASAP. Shit. I have a bit of history when it comes to clairvoyance.
A prayer, is kinda the same as a "Like". If there are enough likes, God will take notice. So "Like" away please. My daughter needs your prayers. Thank You.

        • So. A new concern for those of you here that know me and my daughter’s cancer situation. Up until now I thought all was well, and it is physically, no new new signs I’d disease, with on going regular scans. But now I’ve found out the my little girlie is having emotional issues. She wakes up at night with terrible nightmares of her cancer returning. So much so she can’t go back to sleep. She is a graduate of the seminary and I had always thought her faith was enough. She was my rock during all her cancer battles, both surgical, radiation and chemo, she always had a smile on her face, the pillar of strength. Now she is crying herself to sleep, or trying to. Sounds a lot like post traumatic stress disorder. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. My greatest concern is she lives alone, no friends I’m aware of and five hours away.

          • It sound like her fear is battling her faith. In the bible is says 'Do not fear' three hundred sixty-five times...one for every day of the year, so God knows its important for us! Maybe spend some time with her on the phone and read some devotions that talk about dealing with and overcoming fear. As fathers we are the spiritual leaders of our families and daughters look to their daddies for comfort and protection. I don't know you or your daughter, so I don't know if this advice is useful to you or not.

            2 Corinthians 12:9-11
9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 10 That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

            Luke 12:32
32 “Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

Yes. I just got off the phone with her after she called me. I had texted her how much I love her. I was a lite chat, but I let her know I wanted her to move back home. She’s welcome. A safe place, around family and local friends. She has a job opportunity not to far away in July. I hope she gets it. If she moves home we can talk more seriously about her fears, and getting help. Damn, we should both go together. I have the same nightmares about her as she does about herself. My life hasn’t been the same either.

Since I got off the phone with her, I wondered if her fears are preventing her from dating? Or afraid no one would want to be involved with someone that could potentially get sick. Baggage. Of course that kinda guy would be waste of her time anyway but would be a learning experience for. To look for in the next guy. But painful for her as well. She’s 28 years old going thru a learning curve most women have in the late teens or early twenties.

                • Hey Party, if you suspect that she might have PTSD, you should advise her to see a specialist. The same goes for you. It sounds like both of you have been through a lot.

I wish you all the best.
