So. She has follow up scan ever three months. Completed and read yesterday, all is well. Appointments today with her nerve surgeon and skin graft surgeon. They were both excited about her regain motion. Remember. She had her median nerve removed in her arm. Lost use of her thumb and a lot of feeling. The best nerve surgeon in the world wouldn’t settle for just getting the cancer out of her arm. She used the two still existing nerves and rewired her hand. Success!!! This was the first procedure of it kind, ever, never been attempted before. My girlie brought the pottery bowls she had made. They were in awe that one year after surgery she was able to make such a almost perfect bowl. One sits on the desk right now of her nerve surgeon. A Trophy. Job well done! Thanks Doc. Thank , Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. You are all the best.

BUT! That’s not all. The docs were very excited because this is just the beginning of helping people with nerve damage. For any reason. Not just cancer, bit injuries too. A breakthrough to be sure. The procedure has already been published and two videos of my girlie’s progress have been used at seminars, her pots included.

Salvation.

My girlie has has given her life to serving Him. Long before the nightmare began. She is in Seminary currently, couldn’t be prouder. I must admit I was angry at God. Her is my girlie giving her life to Him. And cancer? Really?

But maybe this happened in order to help others with nerve damage. Maybe He knew she was strong enough to go thru it. Her faith. The 3 surgeries, the radiation, the 3 months of Chemo.

I’m so proud of my girlie. And i love her so much.

I sincerely teared up at this post. I am so happy for you over your daughters new health and healing.... I'll continue praying for you father. I'm so sorry it often feels like we get good news only to have bad follow it again. Hang in there... follow you daughters example.. I'll be spending many a time down on my knees for your family party.

I haven’t updated this thread in a long while. A good thing actually. She’s doing well all things considered, still trying to lose the weight she gained from her nerve pain killer, Lyrica. But not the reason for this update.

I went to see her preach today as a guest pastor. Two years ago I mite have thought this day mite never come. She was great. The name of her sermon was “Persistent Prayer”. I was totally blind sided by it, had no idea. It revolves around how everyone can pray, there is no script, no rules, just a conversation with God, so don’t worry if you are doing it right. Just make it a part of your day.....like Jelqing, LOL. Create a relationship with Him, He will be there. You may not even be aware of his help. Just be open to Him.

At at the end of the service I was first to greet her on the way out. I was visibly crying, shaken, as I am now. I had to leave, this was her time, no one knew of the cancer, or her pain. Or of all the prayers her mom and I had made on her behalf, and still do, she’ll never be completely out of the woods. Thank you all for your prayers for my Little Girlie

I, and my Girlie thank you. I know God is watching, waiting, to help us again. I have to keep the faith. It’s been tested, I’m trying hard. Looking for work after losing our store after thirty years. I could not even think of complaining to Him. All my prayers have been answered.

So I haven’t updated recently. Quarterly scan results were good. Thank you God. Insurance company is starting to need convincing that these follow up scans are necessary. Sarcomas are very resilient and recurre easily. She has a good nurse advocate who “explained” it to insurance rep.

Just spent a while rereading this thread. Thank you all for your continued support. I think with the current situation we all have a “Little Girlie” to worry about. Mine was told to stay home from her recently scheduled cancer scans. An active Chemo hospital didn’t want an unknown risk from her with current chemo patients. Understood. I’m in the line of fire. Working on the toll road. Essential. Doing my best to repay what God’s grace has given us.

Yep. Ours to. But I work in one of the plaza’s. Service to traveler’s and mostly Truckers who,can’t sit down for a meal, let alone grab a shower. They are a lonely, under appreciated group that we all rely on. I take my time with each.

A thanks to prayer givers. In this time of Covid , and so much attention to our essential worked in our heath industry, and rightly so. A little shout out to us that that pray every day. I know for one the power of prayer. And thank you all for helping my girlie. Her scans were clean. Another 3 month hurdle jumped by His grace and yours.
