Oh, yes my friend m very bad today. She was so upbeat yesterday , and today.... I feel like I gotta make sure she keeps Breathing. She did eat well though, I’m such a good cook, LOL. Stir Veggie Fried Rice of all things. You just never know what she’s gonna have a taste for, or keep down.A prayer, is kinda the same as a "Like". If there are enough likes, God will take notice. So "Like" away please. My daughter needs your prayers. Thank You.

Last day of chemo, today, hopefully for ever. She’s gotta go back tomorrow for fluids and anti chemo drugs, put her Nuestra patch on to boost white cell count. Figure I’ll have my girlie back in a week or so, can’t wait. Sweet Jesus it’s been a long year.
You all all have been my crutch. Can’t say I haven’t lost my mind completely but still. All in all, I, we couldn’t have hoped for better. You all are the bomb. She knows about this place, doesn’t understand it, or Dads PE efforts, but she loves and appreciates all your support and prayers. On her behalf I thank you all very much, things mite have gone much differently. Pat yourselves on the back for saving my girlie, and saving my Sanity,,, I can never say it enough. Thanks everyone.A prayer, is kinda the same as a "Like". If there are enough likes, God will take notice. So "Like" away please. My daughter needs your prayers. Thank You.

Try and get some rest party, you need sleep to be strong.
I'll keep her in my daily hopes xxxxWomen were created from the rib of man to be beside him, not from his head to top him, nor from his feet to be trampled by him, but from under his arm to be protected by him, near to his heart to be loved by him.

Ugh, so a day after chemo she asks my wife to drive 30 minutes to Yats. It’s a fast casual Cajun place. I’m like really Megan, you think this is a good idea? You can’t tell my girlie not to do something. So, you already guessed, 3 hours later, she’s got her head in the toilet. The Mrs has left for work so I’m left to deal with it. She amerges from the bathroom smiling. ‘Oh, I needed that!” What?! She says, I may have lost my lunch but I so needed Yats. OMG. Mind you this was her last round of chemo and has never had to hug the porcianl god.A prayer, is kinda the same as a "Like". If there are enough likes, God will take notice. So "Like" away please. So. Good news. The Mrs and the Little Girlie came back from St Louis yesterday afternoon. All scans, MRI ‘s , Dr’s appointments went great. No évidence of disease ! Yes! Her nerve surgeon and staff , all brilliant Doctors in their own right were very excited about her Progress. Her return of hand and thumb function has completely taken them aback with surprise. Yes, there is still along way to go but it looks good. They are all very proud and full of themselves I mite add, and rightfully so. A job WELL done. After all this surgery on her hand has never been done before, they winged it, with only one chance to get it right. A miracle to be sure we have witnessed, God’s Will be done. My girlie has already been in a couple Medical journals but now a video lecture. The docs took video of her doing different hand and finger moves while they explain the procedure they did for lecture purposes. My girlie is a rock star there, LOL. Part of One of the nerves they rerouted to her thumb came from the pinkie finger. They asked her to move her thumb, the pinkie moves as well and visa versa. This will end in time as the brain sorts the new nerve signals out. Crazy how the body adapts.A prayer, is kinda the same as a "Like". If there are enough likes, God will take notice. I know right. Sometimes I’ll read thru this whole thread again. All the support given makes me humble. Thank you all so much.Originally posted by Cavalier View PostWow! That's great news!
This new hand nerve surgery will spread throughout the medical world. Not just for cancer patients, but injury related issues as well. How many work related injuries leave someone without use of their thumb or digits. Now there may be hope for them. My daughter is a child of the most high God, she’s giving her life to serving Him and his Son. How ironic if He used her to help so many unkown people suffering from chronic nerve pain or hand function loss. I wish we could know that number.A prayer, is kinda the same as a "Like". Incredible as it may same to me, and a year since we got the news, today is a momentous day! I’m going to see My Lil’ Girlie preach for the first time. She’s giving the sermon today. Part of her internship towards becoming a youth Pastor. It’s crazy, last year we weren’t sure we’d still have her and now, bald head and all, she’s back on God’s path. Thanks everyone. One proud PaPa here, a bigger day than her college graduation as far as I’m concerned.A prayer, is kinda the same as a "Like". If there are enough likes, God will take notice. So "Like" away please. The title of her sermon today was “ Have Faith?” Ironic. Today’s service theme involved the early disciplines and Christ crossing the sea. Suddenly a huge storm came up, the new disciples feared for their lives. All this while Jesus slept. In their fear they woke him. ‘Have You no faith?”, He said. With a wave of His Hand the waters calmed, the wind subsided. Even with the son of God by their side they had lost their faith. It’s not hard to wonder why we sometimes struggle with our faith, we can’t see him, but we must Trust He’s there.
She went on to tell a personal story of herself keeping faith. Was completely expecting her to talk about her faith that help her survive cancer so far. But no. We have been boating as a family most of her life, she recounted tubing, then skiing and then getting up on one ski to slalom. I was so proud of her. She was so strong then. She went on to tell of the time while skiing my son, he fell, the lake was busy and choppy. I was worried other boaters mite not see him bobbing in the water. I came Hard about, just then the high wave below disappeared while a big stormy gust of wind hit the boat side ways. We were literally in mid air, on our side, the gust had pushed out the lower part of the boat. Now we were in dire straights, the possibility of capsizing very real. My girlie, 6 at the time screamed, I killed the engine and cranked the wheel the opposite way. We nestled back into the wavy waters. She told the congregation that even in terror she knew Dad would bring them home safe. Wow. Talk about having my heart in my throat, Jeez. I had a hard time holding back the tears. Not trying to right now. Truth is, I had no idea what to do. In a split second the image of my wife and daughter being trapped under the boat filled my mind. For some reason I did what I did. I give Him the credit. We plucked our son outta the water and called it a day. A blessed day to be sure.
If you read my early posts on this thread you’ll see I lost my faith many times, to the point of anger with Him. I learned today of my daughter’s faith in me that day. I can only imagine how scared she was then and after her cancer diagnosis. I know now that if she could keep her faith in me, then her faith in God over the last year was stronger. She put herself in His hands now, and then, He has saved her twice.A prayer, is kinda the same as a "Like". If there are enough likes, God will take notice. So "Like" away please.
