I am really pissed at Penn State officials from the president on down, and I can't get the image out of my mind of an old man fucking a ten year old boy in the ass. I hope those cowards at Penn State go straight to hell. There is no excuse, absolutely no excuse for their passing the buck and looking the other way. Those poor boys.

Not to make light of the situation because it's sickening - pure and simple. But I think too much anger is being pointed at the school's president and school administration and not enough at the bastard that committed the act. You hear the other's names three times as much as his. Yeh, they fucked up but he should be taking the brunt of the abuse here. No?

He'll get his, believe me--once he gets to prison. What bothers me is that they KNEW about his sickness many, many years ago, and THEY DID NOTHING!!--but cover it up and pass the buck. Just think how many boys' childhoods could have been saved if just one person, ONE PERSON, had called the police. This kind of abuse haunts you for the rest of your life. I know. I have been there.

I hate the media. In reality, as I write this post, this very second, I can guarentee you some non-consenting child is being raped somewhere, but because some people wanna line their pockets they have to turn this penn state thing into a gong show. I mean if people really cared would I be able to switch it to channel 44 this very second to catch "dance moms" which is about a bunch of young girls slutting it up for the art of "dance" or that toddler pagaent show on the country station... Lol pediphiles are lovin it. Not to mention if as a society we are expected to accept homosexuals as people who do not choose their sexuality then what's the difference with pedophiles? aside from offending the majorty I mean.

Lol yeah I guess I will, but why? I did not make a statment or even give my opinion. While tone may hint at my bias, I asked a question in order to expand my understanding of the situation, hardly offensive at all. But yeah I know what your saying lol, when you live in a democracy where its the ignorance of the majority that controls who makes the decisions, your bound to end up with people manipulating your views in order to gain support.

In my opinion, pedophilia is a fetish. They are turned on by children. It is illegal. It is detested. People will kill you if you go to prison.

Also, the people, be it be in media, or education or anywhere, who manipulate children to think and behave in a way that causes them to become vulnerable to false notions about sex, self degrading behaviour, hindering their thought process ... are just as bad as pedophiles.

well my train of thought brought me to another realization. Pedophiles cant vote, their victims cant vote, whole thing is very frowned upon, causes disgust, the mentality of pedophiles must die is widely accepted. Non hetereo's (no idea what to call gay/lesbian without being insulting) for the most part can vote, and therefore the beleif they are 100% normal is widely accepted and forced upon us.

So my question is this, is it wrong of me to be more disgusted with the side of society this type of ordeal makes apparent versus the amount of disgust I feel towards the actual perpetrator? Who by the way, I look at as a "broken" human who will serve no other purpose aside from furthering our understanding of others who share his mentality (bring out the scalpels lol), but at the same time i find it nearly impossible to hold him responsible for his actions and the band-aid solution/attitude being taken pisses me off and makes me hope we get nuked way before I die of natural causes. lol.

The perpertrator is absolutely responsible in my opinion. I hold everyone accountable to their actions, no matter how damaged they might have been in the past. Statistics will say that a person is more likely to do something terrible like rape, if they've been through a bad childhood. And I'm not in anyway denying that a terrible childhood is an aweful burden to bear, but for that individual, that's what they have been dealt. They must be responsible for their actions no matter the cards.

This posistion I hold is a separate issue from the punishment and rehabilitation that should be carried out, but I hold this position due to my faith in humanity and the conviction that we all have a far greater potential for love and goodness than we dare to acknowledge.

Regarding this horrific news I have to say, why didn't the guy who walked in and saw the rape shove that old mans face into the shower wall. Rip his dick off and shove it down his throat?

Why didn't the coach run straight over to the " horror of the world" and skin him?

I don't personally know a person that could see such an act in progress that would not handle the matter within seconds.

This horror of the world I believe will end up with numbers higher than any we've ever seen in our country.
I wouldn't mind if he killed himself tomorrow but I really hopes he video tapes it.

Also YES IMO of course this affects the school. Even if all leaders leave. You are NOT safe there. Imagine all the female rapes and other crimes that were not handled.

I'll never understand why schools police themselves. It's like you enter some different world once your on their soil. Fuck that. That needs to change. Tell a President? Bullshit. Call a real cop, after the mo fo has bled out.
