    No problems at all with it. In fact, even though the epoxy mix I used is said to cure in 24 hours, I found that a week later the dome was harder than ever. If one would take the time to make a small pressure chamber to cure it in @ 30 PSI it would come out commercial quality with absolutely no air bubbles (they get pushed into solution before it cures).

    Looking back, I wouldn't even take the time to cast a reproduction of my penis using alginate. I'd go even simpler by using some kind of pipe of the correct diameter with a domed top (in which case it would turn out just like the LG). Having the internals cast to my exact contours didn't really add anything to the design (besides looking really cool!)

      So having the exact replica inside the dome didn't add to your grip? Hummm... well I still need to figure out how to not blister before i try it again. Been using the bib hanger for the past few weeks and scared to try the LG again.

        Tim,

        The thing that has helped me the most to prevent blisters is to:

        1. wrap erect
        2. enter with a chubby (just small enough to get to the top of the chamber)
        3. fold down the sleeve and pump to 10"hg
        4. wait 5-10 minutes and check the vacuum reading (your expansion should have dropped the pressure to 8-9"Hg, I don't increase the vacuum)
        5. Remove the pump before adding the weight

        The difference is amazing. Giving yourself 5-10 minutes to expand to fit the dome and removing the pump (a source of excess air) has eliminated almost all pull-back from the end of the dome.

            you guys wrap with micro spore tape (in criss cross over glans), then tender tape (over lapping once around), correct?

              Yo Toolman,
              If you are circumcised try using a little more Tender Tape around the glans. Squeeze it firmly, making it contour to the shape of your glans.

              I have said it before and will continue to say it.... Blisters are caused by two things:

              #1 - Too much weight you are not ready for yet.
              #2 - Too long of hang time.
              Or a combination of both. What I recommend it backing off the amount of weight you are using. You never specified how much weight your are attempting to hang or how long your session is.

              This is just a suggestion example.... let's say hypothetically you are using 10 lbs. to hang with, and your goal is to hang for 1 hour. I would back down to 7 lbs and hang for 30 minutes. Pull the chamber off, check yourself, wait 10-15 minutes and then re-tape and wear 7 lbs for another 30 minute session. If you don't blister then you know you are on the right track. I also suggest a good warm up with a much lighter weight. I usually hang 4 lbs for an hour prior to going heavy.

              Experiment and don't get too ambitious with trying to go too heavy too soon.

                All of my blistereing happened at 60 minutes and beyond, with almost all of them being at 12.5 lbs. and up.

                  Yes, thanks for the tips. I've been hanging in a hot tub at 97 degrees heat, using a bib hanger for 2-3 20 minute sessions at 10-12 lbs. Last night I tryed the LG hanger again using micro spore tape cross cross, then two layers of tender tape. folded over the glans with a micro spore to seal the end of the tender tape fold. I did 2 sessions of 20 minutes at 10 lbs without problem. Only some sensation of tingling, but not enough to make me think I was about to blister.

                      I gotta start doing this. I've been getting blisters lately and I've been rushing to get to the desired vacuum and not wrapping erect

                        I've been back at my hanging schedule for a while now, and have been doing really good and have not experienced a single blister! I've made a few changes though!

                        - I will only go up by 2.5 lbs when increasing weight, and at a two week minimum since my last increase (Regardless of whether I feel I'm ready or not)

                        - I have changed my wrap technique. I now use a 6" length of 3" wrap, and a 6" length of 2" wrap. I do this flaccid, and go two wraps around with the 3" wrap, with the ip of the glans about half way into the wrap. This leaves a good amount to fold over tightly over the tip. Then I use the 2" wrap and go around two times as well. This holds the folded end over, and makes the wrap extend down the shaft about another half inch.

                        - I pump to 15" with no weight on, and sit for 10 minutes. After that I reduce my vacuum to 8 inHg, and apply my weight. This has worked great up to 10 lbs.

                        - I max my sets out at 90 minutes. Nearly all of my blisters in the past had happened in long sets of 2+ hours.


                        So far so good! I'll be making the leap to 12.5 lbs in a couple of weeks, hopefully this method continues to work for me!
