I have found the sitting very helpful. It lets you get hips and groin in an even and balanced position before commencing the stretching. Being stable and supported lets you concentrate on the stretch required easier. Much easier to get a downward angle too.
Ive been getting some awesome lig routines done sitting. Really feel the ligs worked hard. Great flaccid hang after.

Is there a limit i can grow ?
How long and how often are the workouts you design ?
I don't know if there are any upper limits. There's sufficient evidence to show that the maximum expansion of the tunica and ligaments even without training is far above what most achieve even with hard training- see: Megalophallus
The length of the routine will depend on factors like your experience level, schedule, and whether or not you use devices. I'll do my best to assign a routine based on these factors.
