    • Well, the Mrs called, Megan was fetching her forgotten wrist brace from the MRI room. Her Oncologist says after surgery she will be good to go back to Semenary for this fall semester, 3 weeks away! How can this be? I don't understand. Her wrist will be completely reconstructed, from other parts from her body, C'mon? I just don't see it. IdK. How will she take care of herself all doped up on pain meds. Supposedly while back at school she gets radiation at the U Of Louisville. Spring semester next year she'll be home during Chemo.

Im not buying this. I think it was the doc telling her what Megan wanted to hear. She can do that to y'a, just hard to say no to her.
A prayer, is kinda the same as a "Like". If there are enough likes, God will take notice. So "Like" away please. My daughter needs your prayers. Thank You.

But this is good news, and the doc gave specifics!

That's good! Doctor's don't like to be overly optimistic, so be happy! School might be a bit more difficult with the meds, but she'll manage! When you're young, you can fight through more. Even if it's difficult, it's a wonderful thing to get back to life!

                    • I understand how you feel. I am sure though that she wants to continue her growth journey. This is the hardest part of parenting. Hugs my brother. Hugs.

Youre kidding rights? She's gonna have the all the insides of her forearm removed. Then reconstructed. Of course. Afterwards we'll go bowling.

                        • Friend of mine had 2 hip joints and 2 knees replaced. Well he's not bowling but he walks and needs no pain meds. That was 22 days ago.

My brother had a similar surgery after a motorcycle accident. Only 40% of his elbow remained and it was smashed to bits. Upper and lower arm needed to be reassembled and bolted in place. He was off narcotics in less than 2 weeks. You'll be amazed at how quickly she'll get past the worst of it. It's still awful during that time, but it doesn't last.

No. The hardest part, and it's happened to often with both my kids, being in recovery, the pain on their faces, then the pain they suffer at home. Getting bitched at on the drive home because of a pot hole that jars them. I try my best to miss them. Then when their home, feeding them what ever the frack they want, helping them to the bathroom, changing the TV channel, making sure they are getting their pain meds on time all through the night. Most have no idea. I'm just so tired, exhausted, physically, emotionally. And mostly. I'm just angry. Why can't it be me? Not them. Why?
