I'm so sorry to hear what you and your family have been going through.
We often take so many of God's blessings for granted, but something like this gets our attention and helps us reorder our priorities.
I truly believe that God works all things for good for those who love Him. He can bring amazing blessings out of our darkest trials.
Know that I will begin today and will continue to pray for "your little girlie" as well as for you and your family as you go through this.

I agree Unfortunately. He has been preparing us for this moment. First, my son's birth defect issues, surgery when he was one year old. All the trips back and forth to monitor his condition, 1 in 60,000 situation. Then my daughter, Edlers Downler's Syndrome, 1 in 250,000, multiple joint surgeries, genetic testing, a Cardiologist, because her blood volume has been a quart lowall her life. When she woke up everyday she could not see , she thought it was normal. When we found out she had had a stroke at some point in her life after a concussion MRI, I was like, Of course she has! Now a 1 in 3,000,000 cancer, really. Can we please catch a break Lord? But it's ok, I'm not angry with Him anymore. Just happy for the time He's allowed me with my Little Girlie. Both my kids are awesome, no thanks to me, they've stayed outta trouble, no drugs. I couldn't be prouder of them. Ok, now I got myself crying again, shat!

So. Another bachelor night tomorrow. Wife and girlie going to St. Louis again to,see yet another member of the surgical team. That makes 5, so FAR. I can't keep them all straight now, and never met any of them, not sure I ever will with the help issues we're having. How aggravating is that? Arrrgh!

On a somewhat funny note. My future youth Presbyterian pastor daughter is the pastor leader for the Methodist youth group tonight, LOL! Her Methodist youth pastor friend is on vacation and asked my girlie to sub for her. They are very good friends. No worries, she's not there to convert anyone, Ha, Ha, Ha.

The Mrs and daughter are headed to St.Louis today, again, before her first surgery to see her flap surgeon. Ah? Her what? He's the skin graft surgeon, that makes 5 surgeons now, and several Docs.

In addition to the prayers for my Little Girlie. Please add Jay, the Banana Man, he's in a bad way, in a lot of ways. We've exchanged a few texts this evening. Please keep him in your prayers and thoughts.

So, we all met near Indy for my cousin's daughter's wedding, very good minister. Very casual affair, LOL, never been to a wedding where there was an open bar before the nuptials, but hey, I took advantage. So, the girlie's first surgery is Tuesday, and I figured thru Facebook everyone knew of her cancer, guess not. Finally after I had had a few beers, not one too many, BTW, while explaining things to my cousin, I broke, I,couldn't take it. I thought I was passed my crying time. I found myself sobbing in his arms in front of many, I didn't care about that, but my little girlie was watching from across the room. I feel,like I let her down. Strong Daddy ain't that at all. Ugh.

So. Here we go. Hit the road to St Louis on Monday, girlie will meet us there. Il try to keep you all posted on Tuesday of how her first surgery is going. Prayers please, and thank you all for the continued support. I'm not looking forward to seeing her in pain again. I'm so tired of that look on her face and eyes. Oh, man. So wish it was me, not her. Ugh.

So, finally, first surgery day, saying goodbye to Timmy. The biggest concern post op is her pain and keeping blood flow to her hand after her arm has been cleaned out. Appears she has a strange hand blood vessel configuration. Figures.

Big prayer day today. Here we go. I'll try to make updates.

Ok. She's in after a difficult pre-opp, 45 minutes trying to get IV in. Her previous MRI was very encouraging. Shows cancer contained to to a five inch length of nerve that unfortunately includes and inch into the base of her hand. Luckily short of where it branches out to the fingers. So very little other tissue removal, including muscle , tendons, vessels, thank God.
