Did he have nerves removed? I bet not not. If so? Did they harvest replacements from his leg? That's what's coming.
A prayer, is kinda the same as a "Like". If there are enough likes, God will take notice. So "Like" away please. My daughter needs your prayers. Thank You.

    • The doc knows what he/she is doing. My bet is they have done this before. They have experience with the procedure and recovery time. If the surgery goes as the doc expects then if he says she'll be fine to go back to school in a month then she'll be fine. I am sure he has done other people the same way he will take care of your daughter and his experience says this is how it will go. In situations like this they do not just tell the patient what they want to hear and why? Who needs a patient coming back and yelling at them saying you told me I would be fine in a month and now it's 2 months later and I'm still in pain or unable to use my arm.

      • Party and everyone else who is reading this thread.

A long time ago I heard a sermon by a preacher. It was about, The Seed Knows What to Do. I forget what passage of scripture he preached from. I do remember tis one thing he said though.

We Plant a seed (a prayer). Be it a prayer for a child or whatever is going on in our lives that we have an issue with. But when God doesn't act in our timing. We destroy the work that the seed needs to do by trying to make things happen quicker.

Party you've asked for your daughter to be healed. You have put your faith in Jesus. He is the healer and sometimes he lets doctors help Him, even though he doesn't need to.

You have placed your plea (seed) at the throne of grace, mercy and healing. Let the seed do what it knows to do.

        • I'm just distressed about what this doc promised her. When it doesn't go as planned, my wife and I will be the bad guys. With all the pain we have already, now, I have tobreak her heart. God I hope not.

            • When it doesn't go as planned? And you know this how? You need to get off the computer now and go pour yourself a big glass of rum. You are making it very bad for yourself and don't think your kid won't see that it your eyes. Think how that will make her feel! Right now she has great hopes and all she has to do is look at her dad and be crushed. That doesn't help healing and no you cant hide that look from her. She's not stupid.

              • Oh. I know Cusp. I never talk about my pain and worry in front of her. Dad is just one big Party all the time. After my kids surgeries are when the facade drops away, and they are to much in pain or doped up to care. I can't stand it seeing them suffer. My chest hurts. I cry myself to sleep.

                • Trust the professionals, and don't underestimate the power of positivity! The human body is still the most remarkable thing on this earth, more adaptable and durable than you ever expect. Just keep smiling to your daughter and supporting her as you have and you'll get the best possible results. It's okay to worry, it only proves you're human. Just don't let it wreck you.

                  • The sun split in two! I was praying to God, to Jesus. In my Hot tub. I was staring at the sun, praying for Megan. My eyes couldn't look away, they didn't have to. My prayer changed. I prayed for all man kind. Every where. For the planet He created. For a second chance!!! For peace, for redemption, for understanding between all of us with each other. We are all His children.

I know I sound crazy, but go outside and see how long you can look at the direct sun, without left over dots. Try it for 20 Minutes, then again don't.

I pray there is something big coming. A huge salvation. The second coming? We surely need it.

Dont listen to me. Listen to Him. Part of my prayer and experience was, I promised to tell as many as I could about it. Don't just brush this off. Go out and stare at the sun for 20 Minutes, see if your vision survives after 20 Minutes.

I wasn't suggesting anyone should do this. Just trying to make a point that something special happened.

                            • I'm gonna miss my BMW Z-4. So much fun. So many memories. Days trying to teach my kids how to drive a stick. 6 speed manual, a clutch. Having fun with them. No stress. Never worried about burning out the clutch. It was quality time.

Lol. The time my son took the wheel for the first time out in the country amongst the corn fields. Trying to change seats with him, and two farm dogs came running at us, growling. I managed to get back just in Time and floored it. Dogs chasing us up the road. Ha, Ha, Ha!

My girlie actually got pretty good. She felt comfortable enough to drive down town. She loved being seen in it. A hot chick, even with her mom, but usually her girlfriend for all to see. Can only imagine the whistles and cat calls they got. And deservedly so.

But, alas, its time to let my car go. We need something more conventional and all weather to take the six hour drive to St. Louis. And I can't afford to keep it with another car. So. Picking up our 2014 Ford Fusion tomorrow. It was a good deal, good gas mileage, only 40,000 miles. And it's sharp. Hot red. It's my wife's car. She'll drive to St. Louis Friday for my daughter's radiation oncologist Appointment. Gotta sell my boat too. It doesn't matter.

I was just thinking about you and your daughter earlier today, Party. I am praying that God wraps his arms around her and her family. Hope her appointment goes well.
