Thanks all. Looks like a follow up MRI next week, to see her arm after the first surgery and compare the two. Also to examine her abdomen and chest, a little worried about that
Also, I wanted to say there are several members here that have PM'd me. Both to help and to relate their own cancer struggles. You all know who you are, thanks very much. An important thing to remember and this I know. Very often decisions are made on who and who not to see are not made by the doctor at all. They are made by the front desk staff. Sometimes good; sometimes not. Insisting the doctor calls you at times is a must. You may have to be persistent to get by the desk but it may be worth it.The world's still a toy if you just stay a boy!Comment

Ok. So. This treatment is going to be intense and leghty, painful and not very promising. Assuming the MRI shows it's confined till her arm, she is in for a 8 hour surgery. Her affected cancerous nerves will be removed, 7 days later, with her wound still open the whole time to monitor infection, they will attempt nerve replacement and reconstruction. Serious pain meds of course the whole time. Wow, this is just crazy. Probably 50 50 she doesn't lose her arm, assuming it's not anywhere else. Keep prayin friends. Don't let the insurance companies win, fight them with your doctor and force them to cover what need to be covered. There has to be a way. Talk to the local news outlets if you have to. This will bring attention and hopefully get results.
