Howdy!
I was not raised around drinkers. I am very critical of people who drink over what I consider reasonable. Especially people who drink alone.
I don't understand why someone would drink 6+beers in one sitting while sitting in a chair alone.
When I find out I immediately ditch. This is a matter of preference. A matter of what I consider a red flag.
I had a thread once about a guy I dated who drank 6 beers in four hours. I ditched. Many of you felt that was normal for him. Although many of you said to me specifically that it was too much for a first date.
I am finding I can't shake my judgement or fear on it as I meet new people. The man I'm seeing now does not drink. If he does it's two beers in seven hours. That is great although I don't consider it a plus or "pro" column because to me that's expected (not to be an excess drinker)
If you think I'm being too judgmental let me know. I'm not referring to guys getting drunk. That is unacceptable on a regular or occasional basis. I'm referring to drinking to their supposed buzz limit.
Yes I drink once a weekend at friends houses maybe two beers in six hours or more. Sometimes three is we are shooting pool.
Grrr
Edit: I drink socially. Never alone. I am a pretty outgoing social happy person. Never used drinking as a form of relaxation. On a date I can or will have up to 2 mixed drinks or 2 glasses of wine. When I am at a friends house I will drink beer until I dont want to anymore. As an adult I think I have got drunk by accident (lol) a couple times only. I dont drink to get drunk. Drinking while doing yard work, fixing your car, doing stuff is not what I am talking about. The single cocktail a night is not what I am talking about.
