Ok going back to an old topic: I always had issues with people saying that their near death experiences are proof of life after death. The thing is, the only people with near death experiences are those with intact brains. As Pad said, it is explicable by saying it is a function of the mind when it is starved of oxygen and all the hormones in the pituitary gland are released at once.

Never has a person with a destroyed brain (like a shotgun wound to the head) come back from death, so there is no proof that it isn't just a function of the dying brain.

Also, what's all this anti-Toad stuff?

12,000 from each tribe does not mean that they have all been chosen, they may be descendants and there are still some yet to be chosen. All it says is from the tribes which could be just about any one on earth. My family is of Jewish decent so maybe I am one of the chosen. Most likely not!

It never says in the bible that we will go to heaven, it says that we shall inherit the earth, a paradise earth, the other thing that has been misinterpreted from the bible is the belief of a place such as hell being for the sinners. Hell is not spoke of as being such a place any where in the bible, nor does the bible ever promise that we will go to heaven. There is no purgatory that was made up by the Catholic church, a way to gain profit ( sorry Catholics, nothing against you) from the family members that feareded their loved ones were trapped and unable to get to heaven, which they were not able to do any how. But for a fee they would be released from purgatory, imagine that, for only $14.99 but wait there is more, order now and get your cousin in for half price.

The bible never says that only 144,000 will enjoy life after death, it says that they will indeed enjoy it after the tribulation, at least those that make it through it, and those that are resurrected As for the rest, they will be truly dead, to remain as nothing. They are simply dead and nothing more. Until then we remain in the memories of God. He will not forget us and we shall enjoy a paradise earth, look for it. It is all in there

The Jewish christians? No, only 144,000 descendants of the original tribes of Israel can get into heaven (the ones who have been "sealed" or "annointed,") the rest go to hell once that "quota" has been reached. According to the verse that I quoted anyway.

Seems to tie in with Calvin's pre-destination/ pre-determination theory, for Jewish christians anyway.

You must certainly read your own qutes more closely. notice the second half "your quote"

          7:9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, ofall nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;
7:10 And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.
7:11 And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God,
7:12 Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.
7:13 And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?
7:14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
7:15 Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.
7:16 They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.
7:17 For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

The highlighted bold speaks of the rest of the people, not of the 144,000 because they were numbered, does it not say a a great multitude which no man could number? I see that it does, read it carefully. It says that they will be lead unto living fountains of water, they will be fed and the tears wiped from their eyes, these are the ones that will inherit the paradise earth. The 144,000 will sit at mount Zion with God, Jesus( the word, Christ, Micheal, the Arch angel) and the angels of heaven to rule Gods kingdom, God will then place the paradise earth under his tent.

You are in the beginning of truth young Jedi, feel the power, for it is strong within you, look away from the darkness and see into the light. For it is the serpent that will cloud judgement, he will turn many from the truth. It will be done through the smallest of things, the every day distractions To get you to slightly go astray is enough, he does not have to derail you completely but just enough to take you off the less traveled road. It is common to swerve when there is a bump in the road but we must stay focused and take the course that was given!

I meant the ordinary christians. The 144,000 have never lied.I doubt that quota is full...

What about the story of lazarus where the rich man is in torment in hell and asks for water?

I sure didn't say anything against toad.

Another thing that is forgotten or truly misunderstood is that the Jewish WERE Gods chosen, they kind of blew that when the refused to go through Christ Jesus to get to God, they are in denial of the resurrection of Jesus and believe that it is still yet to be. They are still without their temple to this very day. They still say that things are unclean that God himself has deemed clean, there are many things that will have to change to regain the place they once had at Gods side, it is there for Christians.

Was he in literal hell, or mentally distraught. There is a big difference, the one cast down into the bowels of the earth is the devil himself.

Yes it does, but in what context. Find me a passage and I will be better able to make it clear, it also speaks of fire and brimstone, of many ways of destruction but it does not speak of a hell that we will go to as a place for eternal suffering!
