Sometimes to a midnight service at church on Christmas eve. 'Have done some of our own with spiritual practitioner friends before. Usually on Christmas night or Christmas eve. 'Been in a lot of still and silent anchorages under an awesome canopy of stars on Christmas Eve. THAT in itself is a "service".Originally posted by KMWylie View PostDay 4 - 12 Days of Christmas
Do you attend any religious services during the winter holidays? If so, which ones, and what do they mean to you?

I "get" the lox part, but what's the "Gravid" part?

What's a toy you got as a child, that's no longer available, that you think children would still like today?
'Tin and toy soldiers especially English plastic Swoppets knights in armor of the war of the roses. Each one was in about 15 parts with swords and sheilds and all kinds of pieces that would come off that you could move around but tiny and very detailed.Last edited by Yotguy; 12-12-2017, 02:42 PM.

Maybe misspelled. It's a Nordic thing Salmon (could be Arctic Char, Steelhead trout etc. ) kind of cured in brine and sugar with lots of dill weed and some mustard, no smoke or heat. It's kind of pickled and transparent. 'Eatin much the same way as smoked salmon with capers, thin red onion rigs, sometimes hard boiled eggs crumbled on top. Gravlox sp??Originally posted by jockinthebox View PostGravidlox?

Nope, never had pickled salmon, but I like it raw (sushi grade), too! Dry smoked and extremely thin sliced with a "schmear" of cream cheeseOriginally posted by Yotguy View PostMaybe misspelled. When I was 6, my parents got me a yo yo, I was actually fascinated by them at that time because there was so many tricks you can do like rock the baby where you make a triangle with the string of the yoyo then have the yoyo cradle in the middle of the triangle like a baby or Man on the flying Trapeze where you make the yoyo glide on the string horizontally. Fun times...I believe kids still play yoyo today but it isn't as popular as it was back in the days where they had professional competitionOriginally posted by KMWylie View PostDAY 5 - 12 Days of Christmas Giveaway
