Do you need help with training pelvic floor ?
Yeah, I definitely have been suffering from an ongoing really bad problem, which I know was from over kegeling. I fit the symptoms for tight pelvic floor. I’ve been through the HANS thread for the last 3 months, and talked to him though PM (very cool guy to respond to all my countless messages!), but something just still isn’t working.

I get a frequent burning/soreness feeling in my perenium, most notably the area closer to the ass. In the diagram posted, it’s not labeled but its the part in between the BC and the anus. (I would assume it’s the PC). This can be much worse when I encounter any anxiety at all, like it can just burn and be uncomfortable the rest of the day.

I also have a concerning erection issue which I can’t find anything on no matter how much I search. My glans seems to really inflate and feel almost uncomfortably tight, but this happens when the shaft isn’t even erect yet. It’s as if all the blood is going to the glans, and the shaft lags behind, if that makes any sense. Everything I’ve read talks about issues with people having a deflated glans, so this is like the opposite! It’s really weird. Does this mean tight BC? Do the PC and BC each control different parts of an erection? I have no idea. In general, I would just say my erections feel “off” and the sensation of getting one just isn’t the same as it used to be, and can be a little uncomfortable.

i have done my best with a lot of stretches, as I am very inflexible, but they don’t seem to be helping. I do Hindi squats as much as I can, but they can make my anus feel like it’s going to tear sometimes(not really, but it’s not comfortable). I am hoping the fact I haven’t gotten reverse kegels quite down yet could be the missing link in what I need to improve my condition.

On a a side note, I also have a weaker urinating stream now that tends to stop and then start back up again a few seconds later (if that info helps). Ive also always had pre-e for as long as I can remember.

    • I just tried the front reverse in a Hindi squat, and I kinda felt something near the balls pull forward slightly,....is that the correct feeling? I didn’t necessarily feel anything around the base, I felt it more in the scrotum, but if this is correct at least that’s a start!

      • It sounds to me as though you really need to work on the anxiety .
So you are doing a lot of stretching . Are you becoming more flexible ?\
What do the medical people say ? Have you seen a pelvic floor physio?
So you have your own thread we are jacking this one.

ive found very light, long held reverse kegels while walking has done me the most benefit

          great threa by the way
          same here

          • This is one of the greatest threads, i dind t even now it existed, about time it was here, kegels are more of a core exercise than jelqing if you ask me

            • I can’t isolste front reverse kegal . I believe I’m doing a back always . Right where your anus is in between ur butt hole and balls , it expands like a balloon when I breathe through my diaphragm. I believe this is a back reverse kegal? How can I do front ?? I’ve read and read and can’t isolste it .

              • I don t really understand reverse FRONT kegels either..i feel like when i do a strong RK and end it with a regular kegel(start in reverse and end with a normal kegel) that s when i do a FRONT reverse kegel, but i am not sure.

Back reverse kegels target your PC and IC muscles. This exercise is good if the back of your pelvic floor is tense. This area is rarely as out of balance as the front due to the fact that most people who are overtraining do so with the front and therefore don’t need as much attention as the front to begin with.
When you’ve successfully isolated front reverse kegels and brought balance to that area by gaining control over your involuntary contractions you might want to learn to have DO’s or MMO’s and to do that you will need to strengthen the whole of your pelvic floor by doing both front and back regular kegels.

It’s then that back reverse kegels will become more important. Because as you work the back of your pelvic floor with back kegels it’s going to tense up so you’ll need to be able to reverse back kegel in order to stretch and relax that area of your pelvic floor so that your muscles remain flexible.

Here is a link to a picture that shows the BC, PC and IC muscles and there location in a man and a woman.

I believe this photo is wrong in where it identifies the IC muscle, based on many other sources.

                  • Well it's been quiet in here a few months but I had a question trying to nail down rks. I can feel different movements and I'm not exactly sure what muscles are in play.
When reading the reverse kegel it says where penis meets the body. When I try and relax and push a little, it feels almost as if it is pushing forward and not so much a drop. Or maybe my light tension is putting pressure in the wrong direction.
The second muscle in confusion is the ability to move my balls up and down with what seems like without the aid of the BC but can feel them drop down when I try to push a rk.
The 3rd is what i thought was how the rk is performed. The space between my balls and about the middle between my ahole there is a kind a knot that I can relax and push down on. But when I see the anatomy pictures of the muscle groups it shows the BC going to the middle.
I guess I just want to make sure I'm most effective in relaxing and stretching the part that needs it most as I have a very tight front pelvic floor.

                    • Early on when I was struggling to figure this out, I think what helped was that I would go back to the description of the front and back reverse kegels. The front reverse kegel is the action that starts or increases the flow of urine. The back reverse kegel is used to defecate.

A tight pelvic floor kept me from doing a front reverse kegel. I would try to do it, but would always end up doing a back reverse kegel. Tennis ball massage and pelvic floor stretches finally got me to a place where I can do them well by loosening the muscles and tissue. For a couple months, every time I went to the bathroom, I practiced 4 or 5 kegel/front reverse kegels while urinating (stop the flow of urine/start the flow of urine - and then increase the flow of urine).

                      • Thanks for the reply. I feel like there is like a front middle and back. Like the front is like just at the base of the shaft to the balls. Then a second spot behind the balls and then the back where it's like pooping. Maybe I'm just too tight as I have too strong of front kegel muscles that caused it to be very tight.
Maybe it will losen up and feel as one conservative relaxation after I stretch and work on it more.
Only about a week into my rk and stretching after dealing with 10years of pe. I currently try to relax and do rks throughout the day but morning and night I do about 20mins of rks on my back. Hindi squats and happy baby pose. And about 4 days of edging but that probably has nothing to do with this weird front middle feeling.
It's strange just because when I do a regular kegel while erect, i can feel the full bc muscle from front to the middle like the pictures.

                        • There is no need to confuse yourselves with the names of the muscles . The muscles that do kegeles are the same that do rk .

                          • After trying the relaxing with the first one, I feel a slight soreness like right where the shaft goes into the pelvis like under the bone almost. That's one thing I hear everyone is different but the muscle is the same so it should be the same in some respect of feel of movement pressure and location. The piss out motion can feel like the front or middle depending on the pressure used. If I'm confusing can delete my post it may just be me lol.

                            • Your post has value .
The truth is total isolation is difficult to begin with so there is that .
In the front kegel and the front reverse kegel there are several muscles used .
While at times some guys have attempted to isolate further down to an individual muscle it is not generally considered necessary .

                              • Got it. Really appreciate the input on it Pegasus. I'v only just recently started putting everything together so will report back in as soon as I can get some noticable differences in lasting time.

                                Thanks again!
