      Erectile dysfunction is normal? Not so fast…
      If you're dealing with erectile dysfunction, a new study is suggesting you just suck it up because it's a normal part of aging.

      Not only is that outrageous--it's a knee-jerk interpretation of the study's results.

      This particular study looked at age and any connection to urinary, bowel and sexual dysfunction in men. Participants in the study were age 58 and older, cancer-free, and divided into five age groups.

      Although urinary function was poorer in the older age groups, the researchers didn't find the differences to be significant. Nor did they find significant differences in bowel function among the age groups. Instead, they zeroed in on the men with sexual dysfunction. They concluded that it was much more common in older men than urinary or bowel problems--and somehow that automatically makes it just a normal product of aging.

      It doesn't hurt that this conclusion helps sell pills. There's billions of dollars in advertising on the line, trying to convince older men they need to spend their hard-earned money on drugs to help fix their ED.

      If that isn't a disservice to thousands of men, I don't know what is. Especially when you consider that many of these men may need nothing more than a bottle of zinc pills.

      Yes, you read that right. The problem could be nothing more than a zinc deficiency — but you won't hear that mentioned in any of the ED ads that run all day long. It's a topic I covered in depth in the April issue of my newsletter, Health Revelations. Over half of all Americans aren't getting enough zinc in their diets, so it's a good bet this could be part of the problem. I recommend you give your body what it needs before you venture over into Drug Land.

        JP, do you think taking a multi-vitamin will provide me with enough zinc (I haven't been taking it in the past)?

          Just checked my Multi. Only 15mg. Not enough. Get some 50mg Zinc talets.

            My multi-vitamin is 30 mg zinc and I'll see if I can get more zinc through food too. If that doesn't help then I'll try out 50mg tablets, but I wanna be careful not to overdo it. Thanks for the help, JP.


            edit: Putting this as a note out there for myself and anyone who might be following my log - I'm going to be going very light with my jelqing grip, using Kingpole's philosophy of the penis being like an egg and using a grip that wouldn't crack it.

            Lately (particularly with the Jelq Device) I've just been squeezing my dick pretty much as hard as I can. I haven't had any pain from this, but I think that it's part of the reason my EQ during jelqing is so bad - I'm squeezing too hard and constricting blood flow and et cetera and just not having an effective workout.

              Update: during my morning jelqing session I went with lighter squeezes and kept a good 60-75% EQ throughout the 10 minutes. It seemed to be a good workout, so I'm going to stick with the lighter squeezes to see what results come from them.

              Update #2!: I got my Air Clamp in the mail today and used it during my workout tonight. My next session'll be on Thursday. My EQ & arousal levels wasn't so great during this workout, but I did very well this morning so I think I might just have lower arousal levels after a day of work and stuff and because of this I think I'm gonna switch up my morning and night-time routines. Even though I didn't achieve a 100% erection for the clamp I got an expansion to about 5.5" girth, which I'm happy about. I did one 3-minute session and a 5-minute session. I did 10 minutes of "V jelqs" with the jelq device. I really like these jelqs because it feels like I get a good expansion with them and I don't squeeze very hard at all with them. Tomorrow I'll keep my morning & night schedules the same, but on Thursday I'll switch them around to experiment:
              (Thursday+ Routine):
              Morning:
              5 min warmup
              Clamping Sessions (if "on" day)
              10 min Jelqing "flat" way /w the jelq device

              Night:
              10 min "V" Jelqing /w the jelq device

              As another note, I'm considering not wearing the Static Stretcher right now and just focusing entirely on girth gains right now. I'm just not really feeling motivated enough to have an extender strapped to my dick 24/7, so we'll see how that turns out. There's a bit of a learning curve with the Static Stretcher that I have to get passed too.

                I'm changing up my routine and I'm going to be a bit more tough in my workouts. I looked at my routines today and other than the clamping I'm actually not doing anything other than jelqing, so I think a change is in order. I'm gonna start adding in girth and length exercises, mixing them up each day (or every other day) and depending on PIs I'm going to be working up to 6 days per week, I'm going to do a "circuit" routine for girth 1 day per week, in addition to the clamping (which will still be 1 on / 2 off, unless I increase the days down the road).

                I think I'll do a "shock routine" once per month to see if that can help me through plateaus. I'll do a 5 week on / 1 week off routine, with the fifth week being my "shock routine" week and that way I'll have plenty of rest with the sixth week off.

                I'll be continuing with my split routine idea and using exercises from the "Exercising the Penis" book.

                Morning: Girth
                (5 min warmup + 1 min stretch)
                10 min Flat Jelqing, 10 min V Jelqing
                (2 Girth Exercises)
                + Clamping (when "on" day)
                Ballooning/Edging

                - Switch the girth exercises every day
                - Working up to 6 days per week
                - 1 day per week do a circuit of 5 girth exercises

                Evening: Length
                5 min Warmup
                20 min Length - circuit of 5 stretches

                I'll put down the exercises that are done on what day here as a reference:
                This Week's Length Circuit (changed each week):
                50 JAI Stretches, 5 Rotating Stretches, 10 A-Stretches, 10 Double Rotating Stretches, 1 set of Basic Stretch

                Of course, during all of this I will be very careful and watching my PIs so I don't overdo it.

                  Now thats what I call a workout. In your previous post I am curious about how well the lighter squeezes for a longer duration will work, keep us informed on these. I may try them next month if I am not on track, or I may start doing them in the shower every morning for 5 minutes or so.

                    Today's my day off from PE, but I've been reading over on BetterMan about Enlargel (also the thread on Thunders about it, where it pretty much got slammed thoroughly by people who hadn't used it). I'm considering ordering a 3 month supply of Enlargel when I get money next month and using it as an experiment to see if it helps as a supplement for gains along with my routine. I also wonder if it would help you recover from workouts faster too, perhaps? It's expensive, but I think I'll give it a shot when I've got the moolah for it next month.

                      Felt like I had a good workout this morning. My EQ wasn't uber-top-notch because I woke up too early (and couldn't go back to sleep) so I was a little tired during the workout.

                      5 min Warmup
                      10 min Clamping
                      10 min Flat Jelqing
                      10 min V Jelqing
                      30 Headhold Jelqs
                      30 Slinky Bends
                      (20+ min edging /w ejaculation)
                      5 min warmdown

                      I got some soreness during the Headhold Jelqs and they felt pretty intense. I haven't done manual jelqing in a long time, so I forgot how intense it could be. I'm considering trying out manual jelqing again to see if I get a better expansion, I think with the 'lighter squeezes' routine I'm doing now I wouldn't get my hands too sore. However on the V jelqs I find it is easier to do them with the jelq device (however I could be doing them wrong manually, lol). I could also try working on my grip strength for endurance /w dumbbells or a rope or something like that, see if that helps out at all.

                      The whole routine took about an hour (I think I'd cut out edging if I was short on time, and I won't be doing clamping every day - however I think doing a lot of sets of clamping in one sitting might be a bit much, so I think I'll stagger my clamping on clamping days. Maybe do some at night when I do my stretching routine).

                      I've decided to add in 50 piss pulls each time I go to take a leak; they're really simple and easy to do, I've just been real lazy about them.

                      Also on the Enlargel, I think I'd probably end up ordering a 6 month supply since that seems to be the best bang for your buck option they've got... pricey as hell though.


                      Update: did the length stretching circuit tonight, and it went pretty well. My hands get very sore holding the grips and I didn't really feel much of a stretch, oddly. I did when I first started PE, but after a few months not really. Maybe this goes with the TGC theory of needing to work on my girth?

                        Decided to test out manual jelqing today. I'm switching back to it over the jelq device for now, to experiment and see if it might help out more. I seemed to get a better pump (at least in the glans) with manual jelqing over using the jelq device, so I'm wondering if manual jelqing may be more effective for me. I think I'm gonna do 20 min straight of OK-grip manual jelqing instead of splitting up 20 min into 10 min of v jelqs & OK grip jelqing.

                        I'll be doing Monday through Friday as my "on" days next week (5 on / 2 off). We'll see how my PIs hold up; hopefully they'll improve.

                        Today's routine:
                        5 min warmup
                        10 min OK-grip manual jelqing
                        10 min V-jelqing /w jelq device
                        2 Girth Exercises (skipped doing the circuit b/c I think it's too early to do that):
                        Uli - 3 for 30 seconds.
                        8-fingered Squeeze - 3 for 30 seconds (this was pretty intense!).
                        5 min warmdown

                        I'll be doing the length circuit again tonight.

                        edit: I'm possibly rethinking doing six days a week. I may do five days a week, with Friday being the 5-girth-exercises circuit that - I think - would require more time off. This is something to think about anyway... hell, depending on my PIs this week I may dial it down to 3 days a week to see if that works better.

                          Some updates for this week:
                          Doing a 5 on / 2 off routine this week.
                          I lost 2% body fat this week (woo).
                          Measured, still 7.5" BPEL X 5.25" EG.


                          PIs:
                          Decreased morning or night wood - this isn't anything new; even on decon breaks it's been this way - I'm attributing it to the fact that I'm very overweight and unhealthy.
                          - Increased hardness of erections. I've been kegeling randomly throughout the day, I'm pretty sure this is the top thing contributing to this, it seems to work better for me than a set kegel routine.
                          - Loss of Size (technically), I've been jumping back and forth between 7.75 and 7.5 - I don't know if the 7.75 measurement back in August was just shoddy measuring though and I've never been able to keep a consistent EG increase. I'm hoping with my new routine I'll be able to gain back that 8" BPEL.
                          - I think I've got a larger flaccid hang too, I've been doing piss pulls and I think that's been helping out so I don't know if it's the new routine or not. Only time will tell!

                          I'm cutting out the length circuit at the end of the day for now. I think wet jelqing will be enough length exercises for me currently, since I'm focusing mostly on girth gains right now.

                          BPFSL: 8.25"
                          BPEL: 7.5"
                          EG: 5.25"

                          I had a great clamping session this morning, the engorgement got to about 5.5" EG - I've never had anything like that before in my past PE routines, so it's pretty fun to see something like that. The Air Clamp is AWESOME, so easy to use. I never did clamping partially because I could never get a good squeeze with the cable clamps and they're kinda annoying to use, but the Air Clamp's really remedied that for me.

                            A little update: I've decided to switch back to a MWF schedule. I remember getting up to 8" BPEL on a MWF routine, but I think I just didn't cement it. I think this routine I've started up might be a little tough to just jump into a 5 on / 2 off schedule, so we'll see where a MWF routine takes me.

                            I'm going to keep this MWF schedule throughout the rest of this month and probably October too. If I don't see any gains by then I'll take a decon break (a long one) and start up again.

                              I cannot, for the life of me, put the Static Stretcher on. God, I feel like a moron, but this is such a pain.

                              Update: I've got the thing on now... I need to practice wrapping with it, but I'm going to start using the Static Stretcher when I have the chance nowadays. It'll take a bit of getting used to, but I think it will be worth it. I'll try wearing it when I sleep too (or at least work up to that), since I don't know if wearing it during the day will work out well for me (stealth issues).

                              Beginning Extender Work: (Again)

                              Wearing the Static Stretcher from 1:30 p.m. - ??? (as long as possible w/o discomfort), then doing that every day for a week, after that +1 hour each week. Working up to wearing the Static Stretcher at night time eventually.

                              - I'm gonna need to start wearing Boxer Briefs with this thing instead of boxers to keep it against my leg, since I can see it through my shorts (thin material in my shorts, I don't think it'd be an issue if I had baggier/thicker pants).
                              - Need to perfect the wrapping technique too. It's not too difficult, but it does take some getting used to.
