Again, thank you, thank you all for your prayers. Couldn't have asked for better results in all the surgeries and the healing she's doing afterward. Thank you all, thank you My Lord. She may be released tomorrow she's doing so well. She's one scared up girlie though, hand, arm, both legs, inner thighs. Got me thinking and sad about how many scars she has already for her age. The only limb that remains pristine, the way it was 25 years ago when we brought her home for the first time is her left arm. Tomorrow I bring her back to that same house with about 3 feet of new scar. But! She's cancer FREE!
Thanks Jock but a full recovery and full use of her hand would truely be a miracle. I think we'd settle for 50%, praying for 80% restoration of hand function. But mostly, no life time chronic pain. There's a severed nerve in her arm that used to go to her hand, and it's pissed. It wants stimulation and isn't getting any, hence pain. The nerve surgeon attached cadaver nerve to the end of it. But it's alive and will grow for the rest of her life looking for a place to go. Crazy.

LOL. The girlie woke up this morning with her cat chewing on her fingers. She twitches them without realizing it which must have got kitty's attention. A good sign actually, but no feeling yet so she had no idea how long her kitty had been at it.

Party so glad to hear all the good news, I have been away locating my mom in PR (Praise The Lord she was found) and missed the updates. WE will continue to pray for her continued improvement.
A little update on how girlie's doin'. She's her ornery self again, LOL. Driving mom and Dad nutz.
She went to to our store last night with Mom and one of the employees wanted to see her flap, skin Graft. Our newest employee was there, never met Girlie, and only knows the basics of what went down. So the big reveal, and the newgirl almost thru up. Got to admit it looks nasty. I'll try to get a pic next time I'm changing her bandages.

So the Mrs is taking the girlie to St Louis for a follow up tomorrow with her skin graft surgeon. She's hoping to get the drain tube out of her leg so she can go back to school. That's a bit of a reach however. The tube is supposed to come out after drainage is less than 30 ml a day, for two days. Yesterday was 50 ml, but she plans on "convincing" the doc to remove it. ' AH honey, you may get anything you want from Mom And Dad, who can't say No, but your doc may be a tougher sell."

So thankful for this great report, Party. So many answered prayers!!!
I will continue to pray that the Lord will use this to strengthen your family's faith and dependence on Him. Remember in the midst of this dark providence, He loves you and will never leave you. I am praying for your little girl as well, that her love for the Lord will be stronger than ever for having gone through this trial. So wonderful that she is cancer free!!!
I wouldn't push the doc about removing that drain tomorrow. You do want the drainage to be low before taking the drain out. He might be able to show you how to safely do that in a few days at home when the drainage is a lot less.
Not a big deal, but not something to be rushed.
Continuing to pray for you and your family. Thanks for keeping us posted about how things have progressed.
Great stuff today! All! I mean All! Stitches out today, between her leg and tight stitches on her hand, all gone, totally unexpected, probably well over a hundred, awesome. Took awhile. She's in a lot less pain now. And to make things better, drain tube removed too. Yes!
Shes on her way back to Semenary with the Mrs, who will spend the night....and then...I'm gonna do her mother hard! It's been a LONG time, LOL !

A post Thanksgiving Day update. The Mrs and I, with girlie in tow, met up with our son and his girlfriend at my Aunt and Uncles house. Before we left my daughter says, “Dad don’t offer to do the prayer, I don’t want you to start cryin’. She was right, I would have, just so thankful for all the prayers that I am convinced has contributed to her miracle. Long way to go, but there is light, the sparkle in her eyes and smile are back. She’s having the least pain right now in a long time, despite what her arm looks like. Nasty.

My friend, you know that you are in our thoughts whether we express them openly or not. Thank you for continually updating us on your daughters progress. We can only pray for positive outcomes while giving you the support you need at such a time. You are a great father for what you are doing and should be commended for your efforts. I only wish they were more in your control. Peace me friend, you are doing Gods work with your actions. ZZ
I saw something in her eyes recently. The sparkle is back, but she’s aged, so have I, I see it in myself. She’s still all fired up all the time now, not tired, but she wore me out for the five days she was home. Can’t imagine what the next seven months will be like with her here. I know the sparkle will remain but dim abit during chemo. Radiation is going well. She’s obviously in good spirits. Thanks to all of you.
